Have been switching back and forth between the Suns and Diamondbacks and the Pirates look like the Bad News Bears in the bottom of the 8th. 4-1 Arizona in the bottom of the 8th.

Diamondbacks win 4-3 as Papa Grande makes it interesting in the 9th.

CoJack goes deep and the Diamondbacks take a 5-2 lead. Vargas had a shaky first inning but has looked solid since.

Where is everyone? The Suns are not on TV. Doesn't everyone have Diamondback fever?

Diamondbacks score two insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th as the Pirates looked like the Bad News Bears again. 7-3 going to the 9th.

This has actually been the most entertaining D-Backs season for me(didn't really care about previous teams until the playoffs). I'm just not a very sophisticated baseball fan so I don't post much.

I'm sure once the Suns season is over and all the kids are out of school the attendance will pick. If we keep winning, I can't imagine the attendance staying at the same miserable numbers

This team is playing really well right now. Keep racking up these early wins, we'll need them later! :)

Wow, Pitt plays some horrible defense. Similar to us 2 seasons ago. We're up 4-1 and looking good. Hopefully Miggy can eat some innings and get us the win cause we have a rough road trip coming up. We go to Cinci first and have to face both Harang and Arroyo right off the bat. Get that sweep!

Wow... Valverde made it interesting again, but holds on as the Dbacks complete the sweep.

I get this feeling we'll be seeing Valverde on the DL soon...his last few outings have been quite rough.

I don't think he is hurt, he is just not locating his pitches well. Valverde was hitting 96-97 on the radar, if he was hurt, I would think we would be seeing him throwing high 80's, low 90's, like a few years ago when he was hurt.

Lets not blow this out of proportion. I'll start worrying when he starts pitching like Lidge. Bottom line is that he has only blown one save this season. It's a long season and he's going to have his up and downs so lets hope that him "making it interesting" is going to be his worst. IMO, he's starting to show signs of bieng one of the better closers in the game but he still has some learning to do. Papa Grande will be fine

I hope we can win a few games by wider margins so we can give Valverde some time off. Hopefully he just needs to recharge a bit.

Love the sweep! Go Snakes!
