Just saw a stat that Goldy has played in 110 of the Dbacks 111 games this season... He's going to be much come September... Should be very interesting to see if this season has any lingering effects next year. Hope not. He's still young, however, if he continues this pace and I see no reason why Gibby would suddenly sit him, it will take a toll...
He has 89 RBI this season and the Dbacks don't have another player over 45!! #pathetic

And, is Adam Eaton capable of pulling a major league fastball? Cuz I haven't seen him come close to doing so yet this year! He's late on every fastball he swings at! Geeeez...

He just scored on hustle. You guys are way too tough on him. He just needs a little time. He is just what this team needs. Just give him a little time.

He needs to get on base WAY more often than he's done his far. I honestly don't car how he does it, but for him to be helpful to his team, he needs an on-base percentage significantly higher ban where he is at.

Spot on.

I have been saying for a few weeks that Goldy looks exhausted. People say oh it's just baseball but playing everyday and following the kind of regiment as Goldy does is bound to take its toll. I mean really Gibby, you cant give the kid a day off here or there? If we are so horrible offensively that we cant give our best player a day off here and there then we're screwed so it doesn't' really make a difference either way and we should think of Goldy's future.

Gibby always says; "I talked to him and he said he was fine." Does anyone here really think that Goldy is the type of dude to go to the coach and say; "I'm tired I dont want to play today."

Yes... he's still young and all... But a .203 batting average and .286 OBP is beyond putrid. I don't care how green he might be... He needs to start showing some improvement, somewhere, somehow at the plate...

So throw him back to the minors. The DBacks will do just fine. They have plenty of young players to take his place. Patience is a virtue.

Gotta say, with our offensive "explosion" last nite, the Dodgers spanking the Cards tonight and Delgado giving up 3 runs in the first inning tonite, it was all setup for the 2-0 game O mentioned...
However, for some strange reason our bats showed up for the second straight nite... Didn't think it was possible...

Let's see what Nieves can do after the intentional walk to Ross.
