Did Panama deserve their penalty vs Mexico in the Nations League final?

Mexico's Nations League hopes are hanging in the balance after Panama bagged a late equalizer from the spot in Sunday evening's final in Los Angeles.

Mexico looked to be in control after an early Raúl Jiménez goal opened the scoring, but the vibe changed just before the half-time break.

After a scramble in the box, the referee went to VAR rather unexpectedly, and awarded the Panamanians a late penalty for a challenge that wasn't spotted in the run of play.

The challenge from Johan Vásquez appeared to strike the foot of Cecilio Waterman, and the referee agreed after going to the monitor.

What do you think?
