NFLPA president JC Tretter, the starting C for the Browns, says people have no idea how close the NFL was to cancelling the 3 games before they agreed to move them. He said he fought hard to keep the games. Raiders players said of course, he plays for Cleveland he didn't want a forfeit, but Tretter says the reason he was against cancelling is cancelled games the players do NOT get paid, both teams. The NFL gets to decide if it's a forfeit or not but neither team would get paid.
Again this is another reason why the NFL new policy about not testing if no symptoms is a sham, do you really think players are going to self report minor symptoms if they know it will trigger testing that could in theory get their game cancelled and they don't get paid? Of course not.
