At least it doesn't look like it's even going to matter at this point.

Yes he did and it wasn't even close.
I saw the great Jackie Robinson steal home in the Dodgers World Series vs. the Yankees over fifty years ago.

A straight steal of home is one of the most exciting plays in baseball.

If Justin Upton tried, I admire his enthusiasm . . . even if he needs to work on it.

Y'know what I'd like to see? A player bunt his way on, then steal 2nd, 3rd and a straight steal of home. Steal for the cycle in one at-bat.

C'mon Justin, go for it.

Stealing home is a lost art. I love it on the rare occasion it happens

It depends on the situation. If there's two outs, why not give it a try? If there's less than two tho you could just sacrafice the run home.

The box score did not record it as a CS

it was a pass ball and the ball did not kick out far enough for J-UP to make it home.

put-out 2-1

not sure if the offical rule on that would be a CS

It's obviously a judgement call that a number of things would have to be looked at such as if he was originally going to try to steal and if the catcher would have had a play on him if there wasn't any kick out. That would be my interpretation anyways. ;)

How about, J-Up strikes out swinging, ball gets by the catcher allowing Justin to make it to first. Then he steals 2nd, 3rd and home. Now that would be something to see.
