I want to buy some more memory for my digital camera. I have been using a 1GB card for about a year and a half now, but would like to get another card or two for an upcoming vacation.

I found this deal online: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80201-12&ps=ho4

It's an Ultra 2GB 45X Secure Digital Memory Card.
You must be registered for see images

It's $42.99 but there's a $30 rebate and free shipping. Seems like a good deal, but I thought I'd check here for advice first. Thanks! :)

So I guess what I really should be asking is what should I be looking for in a storage card. :)

Just make sure it's the right card for your type of camera.

There were a lot of great deals today (Black Friday).

Great price on the one you posted also, if it's the card you need.

Also - do you keep your photos on there forever? We always transfer ours to our computer/jump drives which frees the card up for use again.

Yeah, I'm looking for the camera specs online right now. I don't think it's the right kind, but you're right about the deals today...I'll keep looking if it's not the right kind of card.

I transfer the pictures to my computer as soon as I can, but I'll be gone for three weeks, so I want to make sure I have a lot of memory card space.

We have Fuji Finepix digital cameras and they take XD memory cards.

We have extra cards stored in our camera bags just in case we need them. It's always better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it...and have to delete other pics just to get a new one you really want.
