Thinking about getting direct tv but do not understand blackout rule.
If Cards home game does not sellout, will that mean it will be blacked out on
NFL ticket that week?

Only in the Phoenix area would it be blacked out.

The only Cardinals games blacked out in Missouri would be if your local station were showing a Rams/Cardinals game or a Chiefs/Cardinals game. Then you would have to watch the game locally. Those are the only situations that I have ever had a Cardinals game blacked-out in Missouri.

Sunday Ticket is worth the money. Haven't missed a Cardinals game in several years now with it.

Go Cards!!!

That is correct. Get Directv!!!! It is fabulous!!!! Worth every penny to a true Cards fan ... at least one who lives out of the AZ area.

The only problem I have with SundayTicket is people lined up at my front door every Sunday. Everyone that I know who is a fan of an out of town team suddenly are my best friends on Sundays. Usually turns out to be a fun time though.

I used to get lots of requests from fans of other teams to tape games for them.

Without a VCR (who needs one with TIVO) I wasn't able to tape anything for anyone, although I did know one guy who offered to give me one of his VCR's.

I'm keeping it quiet around the office that I now have a DVD recorder.

Go Cards!!!

I live in Vegas and have yet to have a single game blacked out. Obviously with no team here, I wont. However, if say the Chargers Raiders game is being shown locally, I just have to switch to the local channels to get the game.

If you live close to St.Louis or Kansas City you might get there games blacked out if they dont sell out (Of course KC always sells out so no worry there) but if you are getting it for the Cardinals you will have no worries save if cards @ rams doesnt sell out!

I had a case last year where there was a screw-up between what Directv thought was carried locally and the actual game being carried. In short, I was unable to access one of the Fox games because it was on both the local channel and Directv and the game Directv thought was locally broadcast was blacked out by them. What recourse do you have other than hanging on the phone for half an hour to finally get through to one of their customer service reps and losing focus of watching the other games?
