Dirk is out after hurting his left foot today against the Spurs. If he is out Dallas won't be a major factor in the playoffs.

yea it looked pretty bad ankle or knee injury :( even if it maybe improves our chances, i would hate not seeing stars like Yao and Dirk out there during the playoffs

That really sucks. Bad break for Dallas.

Hope he's ok. I'm not a huge Dallas fan, but Dirk is a great player, and even if they play my team in the playoffs, that's not how I want to win.

That and the Lakers would smear them even with Dirk.

About the Stackhouse/Ginobili tangle: I personally believe, contrary to what the TV announcers believed, that Floppo the Clown actually jumped backwards, to make it look like Stackhouse dragged him down, which is why Stackhouse was acting like he was going to clock him on the floor.

The trade for Kidd was just plain dumb. Kidd and Shaq are old and passed their prime. *However* Bigs are more valuable old. I would take Harris over Kidd and his contract any day. Along with the fact they gave up a decent big in Diop.

Horrible trade, probably ends this run for dallas as a contender. The difference between them giving up harris and suns giving up marion, is shawn is 30 and harris just turned 25. He's still yet to play his best basketball.

Add to that that harris actually is much better for this team right now, much less the future, cuban must be sick...

I thought the same thing. Ginobili barrelled himself backward into Stackhouse.

Its looks bad... He may be out few days. Mavs should worry about making the playoffs if that is the case.

DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki was helped to the locker room, putting no weight on his left leg, after a nasty spill in the third quarter of Dallas' game against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

Nowitzki

Minutes later, he was limping badly on his way into the X-ray room.
The team did not immediately have a status report, calling it only a "leg and ankle injury."
Nowitzki, the reigning NBA most valuable player, landed awkwardly after running and blocking a shot by San Antonio's Ime Udoka. His left ankle seemed to twist first, then the knee, as he flopped backward.
Nowitzki started reaching for his ankle, then grabbed near his calf, slapping the floor in agony. He put a hand on his head, then didn't move while the team's orthopedist and athletic trainer worked on his lower leg. The arena was silent until Nowitzki sat up.
Nowitzki had 11 points and seven rebounds at the time, with San Antonio leading 56-54 and 3:18 left in the period.

Terrible trade for them. Not sure what they were thinking... and to think this is all a result of their Nash debacle :)

Funny how trades turn out right?

The Suns landing Shaq so far looks to have the biggest impact out of any team. Suns are shooting a ridiculous percentage nowadays with the offense flowing like fine wine.

Absolutely. I'd feel sorry for Stackhouse, but I sure wanted him to take care of business with Ginobilli. Sometimes I don't think the referees are watching the same game.

the gasol trade has made a bigger impact than the shaq trade.

ESPN reporting he is out at least 2 weeks... bye bye playoffs. Denver closing in.

The Suns play Denver twice more so I'm not all that thrilled if Denver is closing in... if it costs the Suns a game or two.

What I don't understand is,If Dallas' problem was lacking a great PG,then why the heck they didn't keep Nash?Harris is one of the quickest guys.
I always thought Mavs' problem is not having a good Center
