Unless it fetchs us a superstar, I think we need to hold ontio it. Could be #4 next year, #2 in 2006, or #1 in 2007. That player could end up being Amare's long-term right hand man! Keep the pick please!

I have never met the new or old George O'Brien. I am Dave, but I tried to be Chuck Norris for a day, then went back to my true self. Whom do you want me to be? J/K

That pick could also fall on the first draft after the league institutes an age limit in which case it will be the WORST draft in the history of the league.

That pick is protected, 1-3 next year. Why can't it be #4?

So if Chicago finishes with the worst recod, does not get into the top 3 lottery balls, then our pick would be #5?

Charlotte has no ping-pong balls next year. They get #4 no matter what. They could go 82-0 and still get #4.

They will get #4 no matter what their record is and that is their only "own" first round pick.

Their own draft is not affected by their record.

The highest pick Charlotte can get is #4, not the way you've explained it.

So are you saying that they automatically get the #4 pick for their first two drafts?

Wait a second. I don't get it. Do you mean that Charlotte could finish with the worst record in the NBA... say 10-72, and they would still may get the #4 pick in the draft? :)
