Yes, only because I hope I have another 40-50 years left.

But they'll probably win it the year after I die...

48 and no they wont. However, Kurt Warner proves that a team can get lucky to make a single Super Bowl and they were with seconds of winning it. Warner was signed to be a back up QB so I call his re-emergence luck. When he was signed NO ONE foresaw him as anything but a clip board holder. A better poll question is in our lifetime does anyone see Bidwill making the Big Red a dominant winning organization year in and year out like Green Bay, Denver, New England, Baltimore. etc.

Yes

the ineptitude of this franchise for most of its history fell squarely on the Bidwill family and their passive, comfortable approach to running a competitive football team. You can sit back and lose every year, but still print money in this league.

Mike and Keim, in their short time, have turned this team 180. Given how quickly they flipped the culture, I honestly dont think the step up to superbowl is really all that far off.

Franchise QB is all thats missing. We couldve won the SB the last 2 years running had we had one.

62 and no.I really thought this past season was going to be a serious run at the SB and even with Palmer getting hurt I thought Stanton could be enough of a caretaker QB to not make mistakes and let the defense hold them close for the Cards to win a defensive struggle. Then injuries just swamped the boat.Teams just have to bust ass to even get to the SB and everything has to go just right.Plus you need some luck and Cards don1t seem to get much of that.

Franchise QB, edge rusher, workhorse running back, decent pass catching tight end, tight end covering linebacker or safety...we're more than 1 player away.

If this were true, the Lions would have made it at least once.

I guess the only way we know for sure is if we win or not. We were millimeters away from winning one.

Yes.

My dad and I have a running bet. I bet him that the Cardinals would win a Super Bowl before the Suns win an NBA Championship.

He almost had to pay up just a few years back. :D

Always had a glimmer of hope along with being the home town team

if I thought we would never have a chance I would get a new hobby.

Of course we will. We would have won it this year if not for Palmers wonky knee.

Defect in human psychology. Why do homeless people or people imprisoned for life wake up every day? HOPE. Even when there are no indications to have hope. Like people who keep applying for better jobs even though they are turned down time and again. There have been franchises that had ownership change and turned it around like New England. When you lose hope for the future that is when people kill themselves. People survive in the worst conditions and it only hope that keeps them going. Also a part of me is 12 years old again watching the juggernaut Coryell Big Red and knowing they cant lose. For the first time in decades I felt that feeling this year for a few weeks. I didnt even have that feeling when they went to the Super Bowl. Late in regular season they looked awful with people talking about them as worst playoff team ever. With that team it was very wobbly and rickety. At one point they had best record in football last season.

yes, you have hope that we can do it. My question is that if you feel there is no chance, ever, why bother?

63, and I voted yes. However, I did make a point of going to our SB in in Tampa because I did the math and decided I need to go.:)

We won 11 and hung with the Panthers in the playoffs for a good portion of the game with a 4th string QB. Had we had 2nd stringer Drew Stanton, let alone CP or the franchise QB im noting, we would've won easily. Easily.

*Not to mention, had we had CP, or a franchise QB, for the entire year, we arguably would've had the #1 seed and homefield through the playoffs.

We do not need any of those things, besides QB.

would it be nice? Sure. But the last 2 years is evidence its not a must.

I was doing a survey in my head of which AZ professional team came closest to winning a championship. I ranked them 1-4.

These were my answers.

Best Ownership Cardinals
Best GM Tie between 1a McDonough and 1b Keim
Best Coach Bruce Arians
Best Star Player in terms of overall Larry Fitzgerald
Best Young Star Alex Len

In all of my answers the Cardinals were number 1 in almost every category.
