THN is reporting that Jerome Iginla is headed to the 2020 HHOF, and mentioned Shane Doan, since he was selected ahead of Iginla in the entry draft.

IMO, entirely deserved, even if he didn't win a Cup. It worked out for Dan Marino and Jim Kelly in the NFL

And of course there is a chunk about the enormous troglodyte media in Froggie Canuckistan.

Guys have gotten in with less, but his case would be alot stronger if he had gotten to either 500 goals or 1000 points. The points he would have gotten if he had played one more year, but we all know how that went down...

^-- to your point:

Doaner: 402G, 570A = 972 Pts with a +/- of - 54 for his entire career. And that plus/minus was on some really poopy Yotes teams.

Dudes already in the HHOF
Chris Pronger: 698 Pts
Peter Forsberg : 885 points
Glenn Anderson, 1099 pts

He should get some cred for being the last guy who came with the Jets down to Phoenix. Do you recall what kind of lineup the Yotes would have skated had they not traded away (or let go) Ed Olczyk, Numminen, Teemu Selanne, Kris King, Craig Muni, the list goes on.
