On Darnells Twitter account he is asking Cards fans not to sell their tickets to Packer fans. he said the team needs its homefieild advantage and doesnt want to play at a neutral site. Now I agree with Darnell but when I brought this up to a couple Cards fans at my work their reaction was this...

"Well Dockett makes millions a year so its easy for him to say that, times are hard right now so If I can buy 4 seats for 400 and sell 2 for 500 to packers fans then Im gonna do it"

For me i wouldnt sell out my 2 seats for the money to the other teams fans so they can go in our house and cheer against our team.

What are your feelings on this?

Personally, I have never sold my tickets and don't think i ever will. That said, I'm not going to step into someone else's shoes and judge them for doing it. I know some of my friends in my section had a hard time reupping this year.

Besides, weren't we better on the road this year? Darnell should WANT more Packers fans in the house! :D

I agree somewhat. If you are really THAT broke then where are you getting 400 bux for tickets? And its a gamble either way... I know if I was flat broke I wouldnt be able to buy tix if I was going to sell them or not.

Sold my Packer tickets for the first time ever last week - and only because I was away for the holidays. I sold them to family members of someone here on ASFN, who did happen to be Packer fans. However, it was the last game of the season and while I didn't know it would be a totally meaningless game at the time, I felt ok about it.
That said, I would never sell my playoff tix, period. If I couldn't afford to go, I wouldn't buy them. No way would I buy them and then resell them...

Vegas, baby, yeah!
Yes & No.

Yes - Preseason or Regular Season games that I couldn't attend (Though I try very hard to schedule them in advance to where I know I can go and clear off my schedule before then).

No to playoff games.

That's such a lame excuse. Listen I've sold tickets before and bought others to go in. But I'd NEVER EVER in a playoff situation sell tickets to the opposition. IT'S FLAT OUT BS.

If I could get enough money to pay off my parents house and get myself a new one as well you better believe I would sell. But seeing as how nobody will pay that much for tickets no, not in a milli a milli a million years.

who gives a crap?

sell what you want to sell - if the playoff game means that much to the locals then they will be lining up to buy them

it's not like a regular season game where they have 7 other home options

i know seattle fans who have bought secondary playoff tickets for 2x-3x face value from the brokers or from opportunist fans

if this is so important to dockett, then put your $$$ where your ever expanding mouth is - buy a block and work with local charitable groups to disperse them to people who will be loud and thankful

it also seems like he should have more important things on his mind

Its funny that I went back to Docketts twitter site and now it is blocked by him

Darnell said earlier in the week he was going to stop Twittering so he could concentrate on getting ready for the game on Sunday. He seemed to be getting a TON of trash talk from fans of the opposition.

I sold a couple, and I suspect it was Packers fans who bought them. But here's my justification. I have two seats in the upper deck and two in the lower deck. My daughter sits in the upper deck seats. For the playoffs, I bought an additional four seats in the lower level (my daughter will move down and will be joined by my ex and her husband), but those tickets in the upper level were sold on stubhub.com.

But here's my logic. If I had not purchased those lower level tickets, it would have been that many more available for sale on ticketmaster.com to anyone, so I haven't changed the overall number of opposing fans. I've merely relocated them from the lower deck to the upper deck.

And for my next trick, I will justify doing 63 in a 55 zone for reasons of safety!

I would have sold mine last week, but not this week. I feel like that is the case with a lot of who sold last week. At least I hope so.

I'm going in my reg. season tickets, but I purchased a few extra's that I sold and made over $900 on. I don't care who got the seats (I'd prefer Cards fans- but you can't screen em'). Why should I care if I can make money AND the Packers lose.
Last week I had 20 extra seats and made a ton....surprisingly everyone who picked them up from me other than one WERE Cardinal fans.

It ain't personal....It's Business!

While I respect that he's interacting with the fan base....he's wasting his time. The Die Hards WILL SHOW UP.

PLUS- ticket prices are worthless now. Ebay isn't even going for face value

anyone who has extra's...hold onto them ... on Gameday...the value will rise faster than a NASA rocket. I saw it last year with the ATL game. No value the later part of the week...then game day I sold them for double..and I had calls coming in left and right...after they had already sold.

How stupid to bring p the fact that Dockett makes millions. So that disqualifies his argument? He's just a player asking for fan support. 100% I get the feeling you shook your head and walked away from these bandwagoners. No?

DD doesn't have any loyalty to you, the fan. Let him put his money where his mouth is when it comes to contract talks. You know if he gets more money from another team he's out of here.

If someone needs the dough and wants to sell, that's their choice. I'd hope it doesn't come to that for anyone, but it's reality.
