Jurecki just reported that Dockett/Rosenhous asked the Cards to trade him and the Cards flat out said no.

This is worse than the deli at Wal-Mart. Everyone is waiting for their number to get called and the meat slicer is taking his sweet-ass time.

It seems to me that Rosenhaus is having better luck making deals with the cashier at the espn cafeteria than actually doing his job of getting deals for his cleints.

Drew Rosenhaus play #3.

-Demand a trade.

(Preceded by #1 Demand a new contract and #2 Threaten holdout and/or fake injury.)

Screw 'em... I really hope the Cards don't budge with Q and DD! Force their hand! Make them sit out! And if they don't sit out, fine... And if they come to camp with an attitude - bench 'em. And if they say still have the attitude come opening day, bench 'em... I am SO OK with playing the season with these two juveniles riding the pine!!

LMAO! Dockett has three years left on his contract. He has even less leverage than Boldin, which means he has zero leverage to force a trade.

Maybe we should see what would be out there in a trade for DD?? Something tells me he just had his most productive/best year as a Cardinal last season...

Didn't Q have 3 years left on his contract when he first started to ask for a new one?

Good idea let's trade Dockett and Boldin and Dansby to Detroit for their 0-16 season.

Seriously, I am concerned about what is going on with this team. I don't remember the exact comments from Antonio Smith, nothing bad per se about the Cards, but the tone indicated to me that something was not right with his relationship with the team. And it had nothing to do with talent. Now we have more guys who are unhappy in Arizona.

I sure hope its just posturing by their agents and not the Cards continuing their long history of having disgruntled or problem star players (under 30 years old).

This team isn't just taking on the Steelers persona on the field, but now in the front office, too. For years Pittsburgh has done this with most of their own players...how many stud linebackers and dlinemen have they let go, only to rotate in a new player and never drop a beat...worked for the Plaxico situation, too. I'm convinced that the Cards know they are drafting talent and depth and will keep a small core of vets happy, while rotating in fresh talent every few years at other positions. Just my 2 cents.

If I were Graves, I'd call both Q and DD into the office and demand that they each take 30% pay cuts.

"So boys, how does it feel when someone makes asinine requests?"

Ha, ha! Great post, Trey!

Rosenhaus is seriously losing effectiveness it seems.

Agreed.

The song and dance has gotten old and predictable. The Cardinals are not falling for it.

And to tell you the truth, I the fan, am not falling for it either.

I am not going to bash the front office on strictly the emotional part of this situation, and I am not going to bash the player for his actions either.

That drama is B.S. I got caught up in it once, and felt stupid. Not this time.

What will be will be. There will be 45 guys comes September, and that is all that matters.

The difference is that the Steelers players actually performed in Pittsburgh, stayed out of trouble for the most part, didn't complain about their contracts or how the fo treated them, and didn't bad mouth the organization when they left.

In Arizona some of the Cards players performed for a year or two but then started with the malingering, and complaining and getting into trouble and incurring rather dubious off the field injuries. And of course when they left they talked about how glad they were to be out of Arizona.

Others just never put out much effort at all and were out of the NFL in short order.

It's either something about the organization or the Cards hold the NFL record for drafting guys with personality problems.
