Great to see he's in such a solid, positive state of mind! He'll always be in my top 5 most favorite Cardinals...

Funny but when Redding went down I had a quick day dream of DD coming back for depth in the playoffs. I know that ship has sailed -just a little koolaid flashback.

Doesnt talk about weapons, his crackhead uncle and about midget strippers.
the injury he suffered during training Camp last season shortened his career at least of 2 years
Hope he will be back with cardinals maybe leading the Big red rage

+1. I always loved having him and CC on that line getting after the QB. I wish he was still here as well. He is very outspoken, but sure seems like a quality guy that made the best of his situation growing up. Good to see him happy where he is at in his life

Is he a Ring of Honor guy?

I'm torn. I'd like to see it, but won't feel like it's a great injustice if he doesn't make it.

In the old SDS years, I'd say definitely... but we've been able to keep better players longer than we used to.

He's always been one of my favorite players.

Go Cards!!!

As a favorite, yes.

As stats and etc, not really.

He was a cardinal for a good 10 years or so though which is huge. Most players dont last over 5.

I would like to see him inducted. He was on the team for 9 years and had over 40 sacks. This isn't the Hall of Fame, it's a ring to honor the past Cardinal players.

My thoughts exactly.

I like the guy a lot I just feel if you add too many it fills quickly. I'm sure pp21 will make it. If cp3 delivers a title he will make it. Fitz is obvious.

10 years is the biggest stat for me on dockett, that's a big deal for a good player.

I always loved his intensity on the field. Even if he wasn't in on the play, he was there congratulating the guy that did. I really miss him on the field, but Keim did a great job feeling in that hole that was left. Was he a elite, no, but CC and he feed off each other.

I think he needs to make the RoF for sure.

I think for a while he was an elite DT, a three time pro bowler who teams doubled frequently :)

I still have nightmares of him getting oh so close to Roethlisberger on that final drive. Had he sacked him, it would have been 2nd and 25 from the 5. Ugh.

After Aeneas and Adub went in, I really think the Cardinals are done for a while. Theres nobody who played for us who is retired who needs to go in.

Warner? I dont know. Kurt did a lot for us but no title and only really 3 good years. Not sure, he did take us to the super bowl. Lets just say I am undecided on Kurt.

Fitz is a 100% lock.
PP21 most likely if things go as planned

after that it's wait and see how the rest of their careers here go success wise and length.
Calais?
BA?
CP3?
DJ?
Floyd?

Dockett was here for 10 years and had 40 sacks. He had such a monster game in the Super Bowl.... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok, I vote yes in this imaginary poll that means nothing whatsover. :) But if they decide not to put him in, I'm not going to be outraged or anything. Its a tough call.

Funny thing is, not trying to jinx anything here, but imagine if this years team wins the superbowl? How much will that change things? A franchise that has never won a Super Bowl, you almost have to put the whole team in as one (2015 Cardinals), and then you can isolate guys that were really special like Fitz with their own. Other wise the ring of honor will get super crowded cuz Mikey will be so happy he will be putting everyone in it.

What's your name? Ricky? Ok Ricky what do you do here? Laundry?!?! Ricky you're in the freaking ROH! Here's your jacket brother come on in.

Remember that it's the franchise that decides who makes the RoH. Dockett burned bridges on his way out — Urban is positively icy when talking about him. I don't think it's going to happen.

10 years with the team and 3 Pro Bowls gets you really, really close, though. Wilson had 5 and 12 years with the team. There's a part of me that thinks that Wilson went into the RoH too soon.

A-dub was the biggest player we had in a long time, a big part of the turn around, a top safety for a while and spent 12 years here loyally. I think he was a shoe in.

If that's true, then why not wait two more years to induct him? None of that is going to change. This isn't the Hall of Fame where there's a voting process and ceremony every year.

I guess the discussion question is what is the Ring of Honor for?

why would waiting two years change anything? What is the significance of waiting? They wanted to honor and respect him and they did it. They knew he was going in for sure, time wasn't going to change anything.

It's extremely common for pro sports teams to have a Ring of Honor (or some type of close facsimile).
I would assume there is some commonality in among the teams with regard to how/why a former player or coach is placed into a Ring of Honor, though, to your point, I have never actually seen anything in writing or heard the criteria articulated.
I always assumed it was something along the lines of their on the field contributions (that would have had to have been far & above his teammates), as well as his ability to positively represent the team and the brand off the field.
Lots of grayness there for sure...and for all I know, there may be other criteria used as well...

You are undecided if he should be in there? You know he was put in the Ring of Honor in Sept of 2014...right?
