Well, from all the stuff I read this morning, it looks like Doc Rivers should have his bags packed.

It is reported (sorry I didn't copy the links, if anyone wants I will find them again though) that if they loose to the Jazz in Utah tonight, he may actually be fired tomorrow.

If that is the case, I have to guess it will happen by the end of the week unless they go on an obscene winning streak.

Question is, who jumps for him first?

The Knicks are a good possibility, Chaney basically has the same status as FJ IMO. (Interim for extended period of time)

The Bulls also would fit, although I don't know if they like Rivers much. Big Bill looks like he is in trouble the first minute a good coach is available.

The Suns. Well not a realistic choice, but whatever.

My personal favorite: The Hawks.

They asked for permission to speak to Rivers this past summer, but were turned down and were forced into extending Stotts. Doc has an appreciation for the team (I think he is a former player).

Also, I am not sure if Belkin's purchase has gone through yet, but I am assuming when it does (he surely is calling the shots right now) he will want a good coach in place. Over the past 3 years with him and Bird trying to get a team, I don't think it was just to own one. It seems to me like the guy really wants a successful team, and will more than likely be willing to pay Rivers.

So whats the vote?
