The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-hander Ricky Nolasco from the Miami Marlins on Saturday in exchange for three minor league pitchers.
The Dodgers sent Steven Ames, Josh Wall and Angel Sanchez to Miami in the deal. Los Angeles also received international signing bonus slot No. 96, which is valued at $197,000.
Nolasco made 18 starts for the Marlins this season, going 5-8 with a 3.85 ERA. The 30-year-old Southern California native is 81-72 with a 4.44 ERA in 213 games (197 starts) over eight seasons.

They got Nolasco for scrubs. Ames was the highest rated prospect in the deal and he is listed at #15 in their system.

FLA was probably asking for much more from ARZ for him so the Dodgers with their weaker farm end up getting Nolasco. That's why ARZ just needs to stand pat because teams are going to try and fleece them for mediocre players.

They look like they've put it together. That young bullpen is potentially awesome right now. D-Backs can't back into the championship now. If all remains the same, I think the Dodgers win this going away.

Of course, they have to figure out how to beat the Giants, first.

They are 5-6 against the Giants and 1-5 against us this year.

That was before they got healthy and began their run... They have been one if the hottest teams in baseball over the past 30 days or so... They are a different team than when we last played them and will make this a true dog-fight the rest if the way...
