Dodgers C Martin placed on bereavement list

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed catcher Russell Martin on the bereavement list prior to Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. Catcher Austin Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to fill the roster vacancy. Martin, 36, is batting .207 with four homers and 15 RBIs in 69 games.
