I have continually said he looks like a young Wilt in his game play. Wilt used to gear up on the dribble and defenders KNEW he was going to the hole for a dunk, yet were powerless to stop him! Now Amare isn't finishing as hard as Wilt did when he was young and skinny like Amare, but Wilt didn't play the size of guys Amare consistently plays against. I keep hearing him being compared to this guy, and that guy, but to me his moves and style of play are like a young Chamberlain. He just isn't half as agressive as Wilt was. Wilt was so agressive wanting the ball on the offensive end, it boarderd on arrogance. But when you put up the numbers Wilt did, it was hard to argue against it. Wilt was incredibly raw when he first entered the NBA and made it on his raw physical talents. If Amare keeps growing, watch out!!

I did not see Wilt play until late in his career, but the biggest difference was that Wilt was a great back to the basket player. Even when he was skinny, he was far stronger than anyone else in the NBA.

There's a comedian who has a bit about how Wilt must not have been the stud he claimed to be, otherwise there'd be several dozen of his kids playing in the NBA.
