since i moved to denver, i have to watch all my card games at the bar. the few times i've had to stay home and listen online have were tainted from the lack of good play by play. this dave pasch or whatever guy just doesn't cut it. dillon told it like it was (which may have got him on the outs) and his voice/call were great.
he's going, he's going, he's going..he scores!!

Completely disagree.

Dave Pasch is far better than Tom Dillon ever was. Better prepared, better voice, and fewer annoying habits.

Dillon's "hit him the jaw" call made me puke. And Pasch sets up Mistler better - almost to the point where Mistler is tolerable.

d.b.f.,

Tom was alright I think he burned out calling those terrible games! (he's not the first) I honestly don't miss him, I think Dave did a good job. But Skkorp, we need a "Harry Caray" guy in the booth to at least make the 49-0 games tollerable. Ya know talking about the nightlife on Mill Ave.? Here lines something like "That wouldn't be a touchdown pass in a phone booth!" "Might be, could be, ITS GOOD!" Holy Cow!!

I miss ya Harry!

I don't miss Dillon at all...I thought he was a jerk after what happened in Tucson at the mini camp down there. The Cards had a autograph sigining session and then they were having practice afterwards. When it came time for practice Dillon asked fans to move off the field so it can start. After 5 minutes he got on the microphone again and started to shoo people off the field in a very, VERY rude manner. My feeling, and the feeling of others, was that it took 10 yrs for them to come down another 5 minutes is not going to be a big deal.. Matter of fact someone yelled to him to quit being a jerk.

So I am glad he is gone.

for all the redbirds in denver: i watch most of the games at old chicago's on colorado blvd. (that's the 1 place i don't get made fun of too much!) and they usually don't always give me the smallest t.v. jst cause no one else likes to watch. i think i'll wear my plummer jersey with a big black "X" over the name and number for the denver donkeys fans.

At first I didn't like Pasch but I think he got better and better as the season went on. So, to answer the question, no I don't miss Tom Dillon.

The one I can't stand is John Mistler! He is terrible (although Pasch handled him better than Dillon). I don't mind homers on the announcing team but Mistler goes way beyond the bounds. The promo on KDUS makes me sick everytime I hear it "Honk, honk it's the Tugboat baby!" indeed....sheesh!
