Does it all comes crashing to a halt tonight?

Elmer Dessens pitching in Coors field is the biggest threat to our win streak yet. The Rockies batters are almost unstoppable at home.

If we win tonight, it will be a miracle. If we steal this one, I'm finally going to jump on the bandwagon that holds those who think we have a chance at the playoffs.

Streaks always end and conditions favor ours ending tonight.

I think it ends - but it's just a temporary derailment - no way does Dessens win tonight - but it's okay - this team has put itselt back in the hunt - and even has room for a small let down if needed - bring on the second half - it's gonna be wild!

I think the streak can continue.

Everyone can hit at Coors, and we've got some guys who have been hitting well.

I see us winning a high scoring game.

Go D-Backs!!

Thanks Jim.... but I am still going to believe. Yes Elmer has been less than stellar all year, but even a blind squirrel gets a nut sometimes.... the Rocks can hit there, but then again EVERYONE else can too.... all we have to do is keep it within reason through 5 and let our pen dawgs out on em, and hit our way to 12!

Much like the Dbacks, this is a very important game and series for Colorado. They are a game over .500 and only a couple games behind the Dbacks. Skkorp, all good things come to an end and I agree tonight the stars are aligned for a Dbacks loss BUT if they win the series things will still be in great shape.

No one expects the streak to go on forever.
And agreed, a fly-ball pitcher like Dessens in Coors is a combustible mixture.
But, I didn't lose faith a month ago, not about to start now!

12 - here we come.

We'll see what happens tonight, but I venture to guess it'll be a bit tougher than what we've seen the past couple of weeks. So far this year we are :

2-5 versus Colorado
1-4 versus San Francisco
2-4 versus Los Angeles
5-3 versus San Diego

The streak WILL continue because this is just how it was 2 yrs ago when they felt they could win every game. Except this time we are doing it without the big horses!!

All tied up 3-3!!

GO D'BACKS!!

Paul (in LA where as per usual this time of year the Dodgers are tanking it)

You got to have faith. Nice HR by Gonzo. But, the Big guy put a scare into us at the end by letting those three get by. Great win!

Come on skkorp - Elmer pitched well - only gave up 2 Earned Runs in 5 2/3 innings - which is good for Coors.

I think Elmer Dessens has a good future as a reliever. Man when he hits the wall about the 5th or 6th inning he is toast.

Kind of reminds me of Omar Daal. After a couple of looks the other team figures out just what his ball is going to do.
