Denver is ahead of us in the playoff race. Just switching all those players will take time to adjust. Does this move right now help the Suns, or does Denver have a big enough lead to stay ahead of us?

It helps. But we have to play well.

It may well help us tonight - the write up for their game against the Grizz this evening said it was likely that Anthony et al wouldn't play for Denver. It also said that Rudy Gay was expected to miss four weeks because of a dislocated shoulder. Well, crapola, they can't both lose, so its going to a neutral outcome for us as we have to climb over both of them. Of course, if Utah continues the awful slide they've been on (losing 13 of their last 17) then we'd only have to overtake one of them.

New Orleans has been plummeting too but they're getting Okafor back after missing 9 games - they went 2-7 during that time. They've got quite a soft schedule the rest of the way, so they'd have to play very badly to fall out of the playoffs.

Still its conceiveable that if the Suns stay at .500 for the rest of the year they'll back into the 8th seed.

I think Utah will drop out of the playoffs and with the injury to Rudy, it will be tough for the Griz to remain in the mix. So the Suns do have a chance to get 7 or 8.

I thought Melo's wife would prefer the Lakers with a name like La La Vazquez.
