Dave Dombrowski is out as president and general manager of the Detroit Tigers and been replaced by Al Avila. The move was announced Tuesday by the Tigers, who are 51-54 and 11 1/2 games out of first place in the AL Central. Dombrowski joined the Tigers as team president in 2002.
