DORAL — Donald Trump is expected to make appearance at LIV Golf's first domestic event of the season, which is being held this week at his resort outside of Miami.

Trump is scheduled to arrive in Miami Thursday afternoon, according to a notice of temporary flight restrictions posted by the Federal Aviation Administration on Monday. He is expected to proceed directly to Trump National Doral, which is six miles from the airport.

Trump has appeared at two of the previous three LIV events at Doral and participated in the Pro-Am two years ago. This is the first time he is expected to make an appearance as president.

While LIV officials have been told to anticipate Trump's arrival, nothing has been said about him participating in Thursday's Pro-Am.

LIV returns to Trump's course at Doral for a fourth straight year. The 54-hole event starts Friday and runs through Sunday. Trump has supported LIV since its inception and recently hosted officials from LIV's financial backer, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, and the PGA Tour at the White House attempting to help unify the two tours.

Trump properties have hosted LIV events each year since the tour was launched in 2022.

Trump has appeared at two of the previous LIV events at Doral, playing in the Pro-Am in 2022 and spending time mingling with players on the putting green last year.

During LIV's first event at Doral, Trump played nine holes with Jupiter's Brooks Koepka and nine with Sergio Garcia in a group that included his son, Eric, and granddaughter, Kai Trump.

Last year he appeared briefly before the final round.

The trip will be Trump's ninth to South Florida since starting his second term as president Jan. 20. All of his golf played during his previous eight trips has been at his course just outside of West Palm Beach. Last month, he claimed to have won another club championship, calling it "such a great honor," while adding it would probably be his last club championship.

Trump claimed to have won another title at his course outside of West Palm Beach last weekend, teaming with Finnish President Alexander Stubb to win the Men's Member-Guest Golf Tournament.

After leaving Miami, Trump will head to Mara-a-Lago, his home in Palm Beach, and spend part of Saturday and Sunday at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, marking his first trip to his course in northern Palm Beach County.

Trump has spent part or all of 20 days in Palm Beach County during the first 70 days of his second term.
