Tomorrow is the first real game with Bruce Arians at the helm. We have a new QB, new RB, new pieces on the OL, new defenders, ect. It's a new system, new players, new attitude to get used to. Sometimes these things take time. Couple that with the fact that the Rams are always tough at home and a loss isn't out of the question. What I'm looking for is how this team gels. How the offensive line looks. How the defense looks. All I ask is no blowout and no injuries. It's going to be a long season and I would expect this team to be all on the same page by week 4. A win will be nice but I won't be too upset at a loss as long as the team plays hard.

Things I want to see:

A full effort for the entire game.

How long it takes and if the coaches make adjustments during the game.

Game plan for the offense.

Defense against the run.

What kind of character this team has.

I'm always disappointed in a loss too, but as long as we play competitively every game, that will be a huge change from last year. At least 2 games last year, my teenage daughter left the room crying tears of frustration because we were so bad lol

All excuses. The Colts had a larger turnover on their roster and won 11 games last year. The Rams had a new coaching staff last year and OWNED this division.

Arians himself says that there is no excuse in his interview and this is a win now league.

Lets not make excuses for a loss before the game even happens.

Ummm gonna be disappointed (and potentially distraught) with a loss. Just managing expectations...

And Indy lost their opener to the Bears and still went on to 11 wins.

Irrelevant. The time to win is now. Like I said no need to make excuses for the team losing. If they are a mess and we get our doors blown off being week 1 isn't the issue.

Yes, I would be very upset with a loss.

I don't care about the new coach argument. If we have any chance to make the playoffs we need division wins. You can't erase a loss. And Seattle and SF worry me more than the Rams.

I can only hope the Cards go 16-0 to spite this.

The games of seeing how they gel etc etc are over.. That was for the preseason.. I will be disappointed if they lose.. Not one game in the regular season should be a "aww schucks, they are still getting familiar with each other" scenario.. The NFL gave them extra camps and practice for this very reason..

I expect a W...

And we had a team that knew each other last year that won the first four then dropped 11 of the next 12.. Means nothing. Win now, and keep winning..

Expecting a loss since the Rams are just better 53 vs 53... Especially missing our best defensive player...

I'm actually going to be on a plane during the game tomorrow, and ordered the one week NFL Rewind package... so most disappointing thing is if I hear who wins before I can quarantine myself in my hotel room until I can watch it. I'm going into full on stealth mode hoping I don't hear who won.

No, that's preseason mentality.

This is regular season, a DIVISION game, on the road. This is a game you need to win. Starting the season 3-1 is within reach, with two more massive division games right afterward.

Dropping the first division game is going to be difficult to swallow.

You play to what?

I believe we will win early and often , so a loss would be a big disappointment .

I agree, I was just giving Shane a hard time.
