Yes, he lost his cool, but he's done that before. Remember he's one of the best players we've ever had, one of the reasons our team is even here, and without him, we lose the wild card round to Atlanta. His 71-yard TD that he injured himself on was the difference in the game.

I've seen way too many posts on here and the official board tonight vilifying him. The rumor of him leaving the stadium prematurely is unsubstantiated as of right now, and I'm sure any of us can totally understand him wanting the ball in his hands with the game on the line in that 4th quarter drive that put us up.

I would be pretty pissed too if I were pulled in a situation like that, and you would be too.

Gandy makes another block, Kurt Warner isn't hit as he throws, and maybe he doesn't overthrow #81 when he was wide open streaking down the seam uncovered and Boldin puts this game away early. We were simply just that close to having that happen today.

All I'm saying is, back off the vitrol a little, don't believe everything you read, give him a day or two for this to blow over, and just wait, he might emerge as a super bowl MVP in two weeks.

You never know.

I agree. The sideline antic was weak. He is a gamer though. He'll get asked about it a million times so he'll have a chance to do a 180.

The ASFN board overreact to a situation? Say it ain't so. From cutting players after a tough loss to wanting to hang Larry Fitzgerald in effigy because his contract situation dragged on, this board ALWAYS overreacts.

Listen anyone who follows this team knows how emotional Anquan Boldin is. Usually that emotion works to the Cardinals advantage.

This is not the first time his emotions have gotten the better of him. I remember the time he blew up at an official. But I also remember he bought a full-page ad in the Republic to apologize for his actions. What's my point? Anquan was wrong in this situation. I firmly believe he is man enough to apologize to Todd Haley, and I believe Todd is man enough to accept that apology.

Anquan Boldin has given this team six years of total effort. He took the most devastating hit of the season in a lost cause at the Meadowlands. He lays it on the line for this team Sunday after Sunday. I for one appreciate his competitive fire. One mistake in the heat of battle doesn't make him an a$$hole and it doesn't diminish my appreciation for what he's given this franchise in good times and bad.

Anquan's a pro-bowl player who lost his composure in the heat of battle. The sooner things are settled between Q and Todd, the sooner this team can move on to the most important game for the Cardinals since 1947. If Whis is the coach I think he is, this situation will be handled in-house and 100% of the team's energy and emotions will be focused on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I agree 100%.

It is just sad he didn't stay to enjoy the moment. He deserved that moment, regardless of what happened in the heat of battle.

Q has earned the benefit of the doubt.

Agreed.

Just sucks to have the drama behind such a great win as well. Oh well. It is a team game and congrats to the team. Nuff said.

Portland Oregon these days.
Except for this little tidbit in one of the many articles:

"He's (Larry) been on fire," fellow Cardinals wideout Anquan Boldin said, "running wide open, making big plays. He played like a man among boys."

It looks like Boldin WAS there to answer questions. He may simply have been trying to get put into the game, feeling that he could help (especially since the Eagles had scored 19 unanswered points). And Haley was probably (1) concerned over his injury, and (2) in the middle of calling the game of his life.

I agree -- let's don't take some unknown blogger's word that Boldin did this.

Q has earned the benefit of the doubt.

Totally agree Q is just a stud. I hope Haley was protecting him knowing we would need him for the SB totally healthy.
