Guess they need that player to cut/re-sign/cut/re-sigh/cut/resign...ad infinitum. They'd miss that 280 yards and 2 TDS immensely. I am not as high on Dortch as a lot on this board. He's barely JAG IMO.

He is the Michael Pittman JR of backup wide receivers

Is there ANY tangible evidence to support that he’s a good ST player? Or is that just what people say about a guy who has absolutely zero measurable stats to justify his existence on the roster?
That's what I was wondering. I couldn't remember him doing anything of note on special teams

The Human Dorch getting some love:

NFL's most underappreciated players:

Dortch's season stat line (41 targets, 24 catches, 280 receiving yards, two TDs) looks kind of lame, but that's because through mid-November, he was limited to punt- and kick-return duties. Most of his 2023 production came after Kyler Murray returned from injury, with Dortch becoming the second most-targeted player on the team from Week 11 to Week 18, when he also racked up the second-most receiving first downs (14). The spotlight might linger on superstar rookie Marvin Harrison Jr., but it wouldn't be surprising if Murray continued to look in the direction of Dortch (who, by the way, will count for just $985,000 against the cap after signing a one-year exclusive rights tender in April). After a full season of being called a "glue guy" on TV, Dortch might graduate from this list. For now, let's join Marquise Brown in showing this former practice squadder some love.

Not saying this is the case, but sometimes guys like this exist purely for practice and scout team. Some zero measurable guys have a role. No clue about him though.
Then he’s perfect for the practice squad

I think his over/unders are as followed

Receptions 40
Yards 400
TDs 3

My rationale
34 games played at WR
79 receptions
762 yards
4 TDs
This team has more firepower than the last two years, but Dortch will have a bigger opportunity, so he'll stay close to his averages.

Will he tho?
Bigger than he did to start the previous 2 season were he was considered a STs player who could play some WR. He was behind Moore and Pascal on the depth chart last year .

Maybe bigger isn't the right word. How about a more consistent opportunity on offense?

I think he’s still the #4 WR in a rushing offense. Zay Jones probably takes his job as both a slot receiver and the first starter off the bench.

Pascal is still here to be “the WR who can block.”
