He sucks. This is not the first time he as done it. He also dropped a pass in the hands against Eagles that would have given us a first down on the last drive causing us to go for it on 4th and 2. Fortunately we came out on top with a 30 yard touch pass to LSH.

Another one I don't want to see return next year.

He almost cost us the Dallas game too.

Doucet had a good start to the season but he dropped off mighty fast. Won't be sad to see him go, from a talent standpoint.

I was wrong beginning of the year when I said WR is not a priority. Now I believe we really need a solid #2 as I don't trust or want to depend on either Doucet or Roberts with game on the line.

That's gotta be rough falling down, Early has made some big plays, big third down conversions, and had been a part of this turn around, especially since Skelton has been in. Doucet's biggest knock WAS being made of glass, he's getting better and will probably be pretty good next year. How did I end up sticking up for Early? :D

One play doesn't define a guy, can we upgrade, sure. Would Doucet stumble on that play on any other day? I doubt it, it was just that kind of day and we did too little too late as a team on the road and it didn't pan out.

I'm ready for some chicken on New Years. One game left, I would like to close out strong and whoop a rival.

My problem isn't that he fell down. My problem is that he made a play that a high school receiver should not not to. An NFL WR should not turn around and backpeddle to catch a pass. Either continue to run your route and adjust your line or switch shoulders. When you turn around to catch a ball, this is what can happen. Poorly trained. This along with his other non-clutch plays is enough to replace him in my opinoin.

I'd like tro say that he looked like a kid out of H.S. on that play, But, He didn,t loose the game. The offense lost this game in the first half. The offensive line was offensive and John could'nt make plays and the WR's couldn't catch a cold! Yes if he would have caught that we tie. But !!! They gave us a nice run and never quit.

I look ahead to Seattle at home and a great off season to put the offense on track with the D!

you get few opportunities in NFL to make game changing plays, that was one of those and he blew it. That could have tied the game and you never know what happens in the OT.

Correct. Doucet and Roberts only make routine plays and even those they don't execute all the time.

The Cards must upgrade the position. Sad that the Cards had two far superior WRs and lost them both.

So many are trying to defend Doucet... you see his body language at the time he fell down and on the sideline afterwards which clearly tells everyone even he knew he blew it when his team needed him the most.

Whats your point? Guys probably devastated. Do you take that as an invitation to bash him even more?

What's your point? Because Early "Feels bad" people aren't allowed to be frustrated with him?

And because they said something about Early (who will never read or know anything about what is said about him in this thread) you take that as an invitation to insult fellow posters directly?

Early blew it, I dont care if he feels bad or not, the fact is he could of won us the game, and he fell flat on his face.

It's rare when you can say someone fell flat on their face and mean it literally.

I dont blame him too much. The report i herd was that his assignment on that play, in a blitzing situation, was to run and turn around for a hook. Skelton thought he would keep running and threw it accordingly.

Also, the team should not have been down 23-0. So obviously it was everyone else not making plays earlier in the game. They just arent so magnified.

I like early, ofcourse im dissapointed in him but its not a huge deal to me.
