I hadn't seen it in probably ten years until last night, and was reminded what a hilarious and brilliant movie it is. Purity of essence.
The reason I started this thread, I also saw a companion DVD last night, with a few documentaries about the making of the film, commentary by Sellers, a pretty fascinating interview with Robert McNamara. If you're a Strangelove fan, you'll love this companion DVD.

I got it through Netlix, and not sure where else it's available.

"Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks."

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room."

"Gee, I wish we had one of them doomsday machines."

One of my favorite movies of all time.

"He said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids."

I recently watched it. I hadn't seen it in about 10 years. Awesome film.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room."

One of my favorite lines.

George C. Scott was reputedly annoyed that Stanley Kubrick was pushing him to overact for his role. While he vowed never to work with Kubrick again, Scott eventually saw this as one of his favorite performances. Many fans consider it some of his best work on-screen.

Ha!

"Okay. I'm gonna get your money for ya. But if you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you know what's gonna happen to you?"

"What?"

"You're gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola company."
