Okay, I can't be the only one on the board who hasn't had time to get into any of the draft information this year. Trying to get it piecemeal from the board is proving to be pretty tough. I'm normally very opinionated on who we should take and what will happen. Honestly, this year, I haven't a clue. Should we take a QB if one falls? Are the QBs that good? What about a TE? Aren't there some of those that are supposedly really good? OLBer? Are the OLBer prospects that will be available truly that gifted, or would they be reaches?

Help me and others who haven't been able to do our research, guys. Hit us with the info :)

Should we take a QB if one falls?

I think we should consider it, but Keim and especially BA don't seem to be enamored with any of the QBs. They're probably right, and I'll answer that in my next response....

Are the QBs that good?

That's a tough question to answer; QBs are so valuable that you have to consider one if you need one. But my unequivocal answer is: No. They just aren't that good. I would be surprised if no QB went in round one. I mean I would be, but I would understand it.

Each of the top prospects (and this year, no one is the consensus top prospect) have their strengths and significant weaknesses.

What about a TE? Aren't there some of those that are supposedly really good?

TE is deep, but lacking in top end talent. Eric Ebron is the top guy, but he's a receiving tight end. I like Troy Nikklas from Notre Dame; he's more of a blocker, but he's a decent athlete that's growing into the position (only played TE for two years) and is a cousin to the Matthews family.

OLBer? Are the OLBer prospects that will be available truly that gifted, or would they be reaches?

There are two or three that wouldn't be reaches if they were available (Anthony Barr and Dee Ford) but the second to third round guys are tantalizing I their own right (Attaochu and Marcus Smith). We could pass and draft one later.

The Cards needs are safety, and pass-rushing OLB.

That said, Keim and Arians are intent on taking BPA. I have no idea who that is.

Good stuff, thanks. Who do you guys think we should take?

That's a tough question. I think they should take a QB if one falls, or Calvin Pryor, a violent SS from Louisville. Or Anthony Barr if he does fall to us in round 1 (I doubt it).

This will clearly be the first draft where I don't have a good idea who the Cardinals are taking. Every other year we kind of knew who the Cardinals were taking except this year.

I want either a pass rusher or QB. I think if I had a shot at Pryor, Barr, or one of the QBs, I would probably flinch and take Barr. He is a work in progress, but he has awesome potential as a 3-4 OLB.

Yeah. I think we're hearing a lot of Ryan Shazier buzz in the first round because the Cards are intending to trade down. Like we heard a lot of Daryl Washington buzz the year he was drafted, and then had Dan Williams fall into our laps somewhat unexpectedly.

I anticipate that we'll actually trade down then take Ryan Shazier. If we stay put, it'll likely be to take someone like Stephen Tuitt or Ra'Shede Hageman because we had them as better (positional) values and couldn't get out of 20th overall.
