Some rumors I heard today

-> Gerald Green and 1st for Ryan Anderson -> seems realistic but unfortunate for Gerald Green who finally seemed to have found his home here

-> Rockets and Suns behind the scenes arranging a Bledsoe for Harden sign and trade that would save Rockets money to get Lebron. -> super unrealistic

LOL! :biglaugh: Where did you hear that? Harden for Bledsoe is the funniest thing I've heard all week.

If the Bledsoe trade rumor and the Ryan Anderson for Green and a pick rumor and the Zach Lavine with the 14th pick rumors are all true, I can only come to one conclusion. The brain trust has decided that the next great superstar is coming out in 2015 and we've decided to tank the season. I consider that unlikely so hopefully it means most of these rumors lack substance.

Adding Ryan Anderson (a perfect stretch-four in this system) and James Harden over Bledsoe is a tank job? Seriously?

Yeah more likely 2016 draft. 2015 has players, I think Mudiay is probably going to be as good or better than Exum for example, but 2016 is potentially loaded.

In no order Ben Simmons(Australia playing for LSU) Cheick Diallo, Malik Newman, Ivan Rabb(major stud), Zimmerman(highly overrated IMO) and Diamond Stone. And the rumor is Thon Maker is going to reclass and move up a year so he'll be in that class too. He's actually old for his class(born in Sudan raised in Australia).

I can see lots of teams tanking for that draft but not the 2015 so you're right rumors don't make much sense.

I think the Suns proved last season, they are not into tanking. It's not in their DNA as a franchise even going back in time. I have confidence that McDonough, Hornacek and Babby are into winning. However, I am not opposed to the Suns taking the time to build the team properly. I do not want them passing over potential stars in the draft for a quick, temporary fix.

The Bledsoe/Harden deal seems to center around Lebron's interest so I'm ignoring that one. So yes, seriously, these seem like the kind of moves Philadelphia made last year. Trading an undervalued Gerald Green and a 1st round pick for a guy who will be coming off of surgery for a herniated disc sounds risky to me. I'm just never going to be excited about trading away assets for a guy who may never be the same following cervical spine surgery. Even best case scenario he will likely be limited next year and then he's on to his last season under contract.

Besides, the only reason I want to keep Frye or would be remotely interested in adding a replacement stretch 4 is because of our pair of combo guards. If we get rid of one of them I'd much rather see us become a more traditional style team. With Bledsoe and Dragic, we need that space in the key. Otherwise, a big man that can pick and roll, pick and pop and post-up makes more sense to me.

Disc injuries never heal. You learn to live with them. Recovery from disc surgery is 50/50 at best. I know first hand. I saw the same doc that did Craig Counsels disc surgery and this is what he told me.

Yup, I just work through the pain until there is numbness and then I am good to go. Just don't tell my wife I said that.

Chad Ford suggests that Elfrid Payton has moved ahead of Marcus Smart at least on the Kings board.

Payton lock at #8?

It shows no interest in defense. That is clear.

can we just make one thing clear - the Suns are not trading Bledsoe for Harden... ??? shouldn't this go without saying? :mulli:

THEREFORE, his stating us ditching Bledsoe and Green isn't that crazy of an assumption to say it's a tank job.

That being said I don't think we're trying to tank after the season we had.

So I should cancel my Suns Harden jersey order? It's one of the more absurd rumors I've heard but every now and then the absurd becomes reality. I'll still mock it in advance and just live with the consequences when the rarity becomes reality.

I guess the claim is that LaVine had a guarantee from Minnesota. Which makes the reaction all the more odd to me. His agent said that Zach was ecstatic not unhappy his reaction just showed surprise, shock and relief.

Huh? So he knew they were picking him at 13 if he was still on the board, they picked him at 13, and he was surprised and shocked by that but the F me comment was meant to show relief?

Also one of the Minnesota fan sites is saying they think he actually said F my life not F me, or F man(which his people were saying was what he said). Anybody who knows a late teen early 20 year old is aware of the phrase FML and it does NOT mean relief. FWIW I think he said F me.

I think much like Eli Manning on draft day he knew they were going to pick him, he was mad they did pick him, and he expressed it. Eli expressed it by having to be coerced into holding the Chargers jersey for the pic with the commish and then refusing to put on a Chargers hat for interviews, Zach expressed it with an F me that the cameras picked up.

I think his agent realized how bad it looked and released a spin statement.

This is a non-story. Everybody that has even heard of the NBA knows that being drafted by the Twolves IS totally F'd. F me, FML and F the world are all appropriate and reasonable responses.

Perhaps he was surprised by the timing of it all. Not the selection, but the presentation of it all.

We have to remember he's probably waiting for a phone call, a camera is in his house, he's watching ESPN.... a lot of stuff going on that can throw off his timing.

Maybe he was expecting to get a phone call, and was surprised he learned through ESPN.

Maybe he heard the promise, but didn't believe it. Then was like F ME, they weren't lying.

Eli has forever been a douche because of that.

Sure but you don't embarass the franchise that just promised to pay you millions of dollars, on national tv, by doing it in public.

He was there at the draft, in fact one of the media folks at the draft said last night he was behind Zach as he was going up to the podium and he was "clearly" not happy about who picked him.

I don't blame someone for thinking Minnesota has a terrible history, I just think you have to be mature and not make it that obvious on live tv. And I think the stuff since then has all been spin from his people who recognized how bad it looked when he did that.

Maybe I'm thinking of someone else then, because who I was picturing was clearly in his home.
