I am good with taking a really good corner at #23-- why? Last 6 games' (including playoffs) pass defense:

TD / INT / Passer Rating Allowed

3/0/136
3/0/139 Goff!
2/0/112
3/0/109
3/1/109
2/0/156

we know you need three, and you need depth behind it

No pressure that's why goff was able to put almost a perfect rating against us

if you google his name you'll find an Eagles site with the same report except it says in the summary he's graded as a "2nd round" pick. So the all in comment by Schultz doesn't mean first round it means second round? If true pretty misleading, nobody is "all in" on a 2nd rounder IMO.
McDuffie is round 1 talent.

If it makes anyone feel better googling McDuffie's name brings up articles that the Eagles are "all in" on Trent McDuffie as well

I don't know i looked at 4 sites, 2 said first round 2 said second round. The 2nd round sites were an Eagles site, and a UW fan site. Apparently has very short arms for his height which concerns some since, also not blazing fast.

He does have short arms...and that is about the only concern. He ran 4.4 which is what it looks like he runs on tape. He is very instinctive and super smooth. Doesn't mind contact. Love this player. He is what people wanted Stingley to be and there isn't much of a size difference between the two.

Do you mean like the Bengals, you're now touting?
It could be their only year they go, but they are building something much better than us. We are in year 4 and we are a pretty incomplete team with a high peak if everything is fine and dandy.

And we gotta pay Kyler soon, perhaps before this year starts. We already wasted his rookie contract.

Keim constantly talks about getting length and size in the secondary yet McDuffie has none of these traits. Yeah, lets add another small CB to the secondary.

I know he has short arms but I don't consider McDuffie to be "small". He is a shade under 6' and filled out.

funny that people are reacting to drafting a corner like it isn't a need

its a passing league now

league average for 3 or more WRs is 61%

the Rams ran 3 or more WRs on 88% of their offensive plays

It's a need. But I'd put it behind WR and OLB right now. And McDuffie wouldn't be my personal choice.

The Cardinals will sit at 23 & see who falls to them. The only thing that is certain is that it'll be whoever they deem the best available at any of the following positions: Edge, DT, CB, WR, OL. And I'm not placing any emphasis on the order of my list.
