I know Dennis Green does not like to trade down in the draft, but this might be a good possibility: The Cardinals first (3rd overall) to Texans for thier first (10th overall) and the draft rights to QB Drew Henson. It's a win-win situation for both teams. The Cardinals get a highly valued QB and still pick in the top 10. The Texans get a top three pick and only give up a player that will never be a part of their team and a lower first rounder.

If Henson won't sign a deal in Houston, what makes you think he'll sign a deal here? Especially with so little time to negotiate.

To make the trade work the two teams would have to work out compensation first and then Henson would have to agree to a contract. If he doesn't sign before the draft he goes back in and the Texans lose any windfall for the pick. It is in the best interest of Houston to trade his rights. Henson can negotiate a contract before the draft and get the deal he wants. If he goes back into the draft pool he will probably slide (possibly second round) and his contract will be less than had he agreed to a trade.

How good would he be? Better than Ben or Eli? If not better, is he good enough (I hate "good enough"!) Russ??? Sounds good to me, if he compares favorably with the "Big two".
