None of it was due to pass rush or lack there of, he just got beat IMO.

Needs better mental toughness, the missed INT got in his head. Its out there, you can get in this kids head, saw flashes of that during last year and Pitt figured this out in the Super Bowl and GB ran with it. Besides a pass play here and there they didn't even try to go to the other side of the field, they went straight at DRC the whole game.

Swear to god, if I see him grinning after getting beat for a touchdown again, I'm going to break the TV. I don't care if it's really a grimace, DRC, but don't EVER GRIN when you get beaten like a little bitch again. And he was, repeatedly, beaten like a little bitch. OMFG, how pissed off I am at this team right now!!!

At this stage you have to take the bad with the good with DRC. he's going to be one of those guys that will make eye popping plays, pick sixes, plays like the one on Driver last night. But he's still a 2nd year guy who played at a small school in college and is getting by more on natural talent than technique.

He still has this bad mentality that I'm such a good athlete I can take risks because I can always recover and make the play. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't (Nelson's TD last night, the one to DeSean Jackson that nearly cost us the NFC Title). He's going to be a great player but he's going to be inconsistent again this year.

I do love his confidence, but I do agree he needs to become more of a student of the game. And as I just posted on another thread, we have to remember playing CB for the Cards is exceptionally difficult because you really don't have a FS on the field that much.

Defense was playing very aggressive. Man to man nearly all night long. He had no over the top help and he was just beat by the playaction over and over. Bad night for him. Love that it happened in preseason. Maybe it will humble him even more.

Agreed dcr. He played a lot better in the second half, but he's gotta realize that success isn't a given from year to year. Every year you're in the league, you should strive to get better. I think he'll b ready week one. (but damn did he get schooled by Nelson on that bomb)

Press clippings. He has to become a student of this game because good QB's like Rodgers will attack him until he can stop them. He got beat badly last night and I am glad that this happened in the preseason so that he can make some adjustments before the games start to matter. I view this as an opportunity for him to get better more than anything else.

Hopefully. On the telecast Rob Moore thought that with DRC's success last year that he may thinks he knows it all now.

Rob said you always have to prepare, always have to learn, never think you know it all.
