Drew Stanton scares me

I hope I am wrong, but I don't see the Cardinals beating SF on Thursday with Stanton. I don't understand why he is even on the roster to be honest, other than for maybe blind loyalty. Blind loyalty doesnt win games though. Neither do QBs with noodle arms.

He did nothing to earn a roster spot and we are about to pay the price. Barkley at least was a QB that might have turned into something in time and was a lot cheaper. At worst, he has a better arm than Drew. Drew is what he is. Today's game sucked. Thursday's may be a lot worse.

He's terrible. He was terrible in the preseason, and terrible now. If they only ask him to throw some checkdowns and 5 yard outs, he won't mess up. Ask him to go downfield and it's over. He's gonna throw high and give us nothing.

Can we dispel the myth that Barkley is some gem that we let slip out of our grasps? There's a reason he hasn't ever been considered anything more than a scout team QB. It's as simple as he's not a good quarterback.

That said, Stanton is not a very good QB and might get the axe next season; and if AZ wins Thursday , it'll be because we held SF to 7 points or less.

You know what's sad about the above? I think it correctly assumes the D will have to basically pitch a shutout because we know BA won't adjust the game plan to actually feature the biggest weapon on the team with DJ and just go smashmouth

Stanton is terrible. If your backup is bad and it is a foregone conclusion your season is over if they have to start a lot of games then why have one? If abysmal play is the best you can hope for you might as well have a WR as your backup if their only job is to finish a game since you can't forfeit.

Of course this isn't the case. We've seen plenty of current backups and former backuos play well. We've had 3 years to improve this position and haven't. Stanton has looked terrible at nearly every point in time he has touched it pre and regular season. Just because we won some games with him under center doesn't change that.

Just like we have been unprepared and going thru the motions in other respects this one is more than likely going to bite us now.

Stanton hasn't been the same since the concussion in 2014. Can someone explain the second to last play where the Int got overturned. Play literally made no sense. He wasn't trying to get rid of it either because Jaron Brown ran an out route to the sideline.

No myth. Stanton is worse. If you make cuts based on who gives you a better chance to win, Barkley would be on the roster. That isn't singing his praises as much as questioning why on Earth Stanton is still around. Stanton is pure garbage.

I know it's hard to fathom, but I've seen Barkley in live NFL game action with the Eagles and he's arguably the worst QB I've ever seen; even worse than Stanton. Like Max Hall bad.

The beat writers always fall in line with BA. They make fun of or put down fans who question coaching moves. They refuse to ask BA tough questions at his pressers. I responded to Urban's post game summary tweet asking if there were any plans to replace the ST coach and he deleted it. They are all too afraid to get on his bad side it seems. Spineless enablers, anything they write should be taken with a grain of salt.
