The Cardinals have resigned Kicker Tim Duncan to the 53 man roster. He takes the spot vacated by Jason Starkey for the moment. The team still has the exemption for Frank Garcia. It is not known if they will activate Garcia this week. If they do, they will have to release another player.

Bill Gramatica hurt his back in Thursday's practice and is in pain. He is receiving treatment all day today in hopes of being able to kick on Sunday. It is up in the air right now and it will be a game time decision.

Billy G. might get "Wally Pipp-ed"

Thanks for the info Jim. I thought Garcia was definitely going to be activated, no?

It is still possible, but if they do activate Garcia, they will have to cut someone. They may be figuring that out right now. Of course, they were not anticipating Gramatica getting hurt so they are most likely deciding who to release right now.

We might get to see kicks go into the endzone!

In fairness, Billy G has kicked well the past two weeks. Duncan struggled with kickoffs in the preseason as well. Duncan does have a stronger leg but it is erratic.

Sounds a lot like Joe Nedney.

Thanks Jim. I also heard we resigned Ray Thompson and Scott Player to new contracts. Any info on this?

No info. Just read it on the Cardinals message board. That is why I am asking?
