The U.S. Women's National Team's final home friendly before the 2019 Women's World Cup felt very much like a party. Fireworks displays before and after the match served to enterain the near-sellout crowd at Red Bull Arena, though on-field fireworks took a bit longer to light. Taking on a game, but overmatched Mexican team, the USWNT scored an early opener, but labored through much of the rest of the first half, at least before a combination of the heat and the effectiveness of American substitutes Carli Lloyd, Christen Press and Mallory Pugh overwhelmed the Mexicans in an eventual 3-0 triumph.
