Anyone out there interested in what our friends at MGM are cooking up for up in the coming months? Well, check this out...

May should see the release of a 2-disc Spaceballs: Collector's Edition (on 5/3 to be exact), complete with DTS surround sound. Dance with Me Henry, Noose Hangs High, I'll Take Sweden and The Princess & the Pirate are all expected to arrive on 5/17. Also tentatively set for that date are the original The Thomas Crown Affair (with a new transfer), a Steve McQueen Box Set (including The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, Junior Bonner and The Thomas Crown Affair), Throw Momma from the Train (also with a new transfer) and a batch of new westerns, including Escort West, Hour of the Gun, The Hunting Party, Invitation to a Gunfighter, More Dead Than Alive, Sam Whisky and Scalphunters.

June is expected to include a number of Peter Sellers titles, among them The Blockhouse, Never Let Go, What's New Pussycat and The Naked Truth (a.k.a. Your Past is Showing). You should also get more New Outer Limits episode compilations, including Bizarre Aliens, Fantastic Androids and Robots, Death and Beyond and Mutation and Transformation.

Looking farther down the line, Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It is on the way, as is a a 3-disc Bill & Ted's Excellent Box Set containing both films plus a bonus disc. Other great titles you can tentatively expect in 2005 include a Midnight Cowboy: 35th Anniversary Collector's Edition, Journey to the Center of the Earth and a Pink Panther Classic Cartoons Giftset. We don't have any details on extras for these titles, so you know as much as we do at the moment.

Do keep in mind that nothing is official until MGM announces it. Stay tuned...

Those of us that grew up in the late 80s/early 90s will probably appreciate the guilty pleasure that is Bill & Ted... Keanu's ONLY true role!

Whoa!

Filmed at locations all around here (in Az) including the high school of BIM and Bob Chebat (Coronado High in Scottsdale was San Dimas High)...MetroCenter...and Golfland/Sunsplash (which was Waterloops). Several of my classmates were in it, including the two blushing girls at the mall. Heck, I'm likely in it somewhere. I watched a lot of the actual filming.

The sheriff's office in the movie is on Washington near Papago park as well. And the bowling alley where Napolean is ditched is at the intersection of Rural and the Superstition Freeway. (Never thought I'd write that sentence) :D
