DVDs that sound great with a home theater?

Any recommendations on DVD's that really exploit the subwoofer and rear speaks?

Probably my favorite is Terminator 2 with the lasers whizzing from the front channel to the back in the opening scene.

The Matrix sounds great in surround as well. I'm in the minority and didn't really care for the movie that much, but it sounds great.

The best by far for home theater are Episode 1 and 2 of Star Wars. Not the greatest movies, but their sound mixes are second to none.

I was sold my speakers based on listening to Air Force 1. I thought the movie sucked, but the sound was pretty impressive.

Opening scene of Gladiator "Hell Unleashed" and the Pod racing scene from Episode 1 are good demo scenes.

Superbit version of Fifth Element is one of my favorite DVDs and has an excellent DTS mix.


Also Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, and Reign of Fire have good soundtracks.

The best is Saving Private Ryan,
but my personal fav is Blade I the first fight seen and Matrix the Lobby fight. I have a great surround sound set up and big screen and love to just crank the sound up.

Twister while not great movie is one of the best movies for home theatre!

Especially that opening scene WOW!

Ugh! I hated that movie.

Pretty sad when you see a movie called "Twister" and you end up rooting for the tornado
