The Kraken got the scoring started in the first period thanks to goals from rookie Jani Nyman and trade acquisition Michael Essyimont. With 17 seconds remaining, Cole Perfetti cut the lead in half, scoring his 14th of the season.

Kyle Connor tied the game at 2-2 with his 36th goal of the season. Morgan Barron made a terrific spin-o-rama pass in his own zone to spring Connor.

The Jets upped the pressure in the third period, firing 11 shots at Joey Daccord but he had answers for everything.

In overtime, a breakdown in coverage by the Kraken, and a heads up play by both Perfetti and Dylan Samberg ended the game, with Samberg recording his sixth goal of the season.

Eric Comrie was solid throughout the night, stopping 14 of the 15 shots he faced. Connor Hellebuyck entered the game in relief of Comrie, who was pulled by the concussion spotter, but did return to the game.

The Jets are back in action on Tuesday when they take on the Vancouver Canucks.
