Could someone tell me why it happened.. I knowwhy, but just not the specifics..

And, are there going to still be ncaa football games from someone else? EA quit making ncaa basketball games but no one else started making them.. I really liked playing those too..

they will still be making them just removing the NCAA brand from it. Everything will remain the same.

They have stopped due to the fact that they fear they might have to start paying the college players. The new game will just be called college football and each team will have the option to be in the game due to CLC 50 teams have opted out of the game but we do not know which ones yet. The game will not be the same it will have to be more generic concerning the way players look and their numbers.

And before everyone jumps on the blame Ed O'Bannon bandwagon, the real guy here is Sonny Vaccaro.

He convinced a lawyer who was already dabbling in suing the NCAA to file this suit and then started calling former players to get a lead plaintiff. Ed stepped up because he'd seen his likeness on an EA game, and wondered how they could use his likeness 17 years after he left UCLA, with no compensation.

Vaccaro is still mad that the system he helped create(shoe companies etc) doesn't pay players above the table, so he's going after them now.

His first plan was to create a barnstorming league of kids who didn't want to play a year of college basketball, when that didn't happen, he started looking for a lawyer to sue the NCAA and found one.

and by the terms of the settlement the athletes will get about $150 each...

And now Sam Keller wont have to worry anymore about his valuable likeness appearing in video games. Douche.
