I can't remember the last time I felt like this....had to be mid way through the season in '98.

It's already wednesday and all I can think about is Sunday's game then coming back and laying the wood on the Jets the next week.

Can't concentrate on work, nothing.....it's a great feeling, not thinking about our draft placement.

Denny Green won't let this team piss away the season, that's why I have hope at 4-5.....we may miss the playoffs, but it won't be by much and next year, we're the team to beat in the west.

The powershift has begun!

Exactly. I didn't think we'd be thinking playoffs this late in the season but now I'm getting really stoked.

Not me I can think about both. I am a multitasker.

By the way we are out of the top 10, 12th or 13th depending on cion flip to be exact. Being out of the top 10 is a good thing this year.

joeshmo,

A pick this year in the 18-25 range would be PERFECT.

Don't get depressed if we don't win this week

I'd hate to see the core posters on this board get depressed if we don't pull this game out versus Carolina. Don't fool yourselves. It will be tough. Regardless of the result, the Cards are a much improved team and will only get better.

Go Cards! Beat Carolina

I would think the 32nd pick would be perfect.

I'm reminded of 2002 simply because it's freshest. Even though we had the better start, we did arrive at 4-5 and were looking to reverse the slide and make a push. I don't think this year will end like that one, though, which is a great feeling.

Carolina, New York, and Detroit are definitely winnable games. SF at home will be an occasion to satisfy, and a great springboard to another home game against the Rams. More than a split with Seattle is not something I would have bet on, and aside from the Rams, no one has beaten them at home since week 14 of 2002. Home against Tampa could be a great finish to the season.

It starts on the road this week, then starts over next Monday.

Whatever happens, they will be calling for Shaun King on Monday morning. Win or lose.

Skkorp - this is just absolutely freaking ******** in my opinion. You think if we won - and Josh actually PLAYED WELL - you know - like threw for over a 100 yards and maybe - GASP - a touchdown or two and the onus wasn't completely on the defense we'd be calling for Shawn King? That's crap and you know it. If Josh played well - this board (besides This_Guy) would be screaming HALLELUJAH!!!! You see how fast people turn themselves around here when presented with a reason to do so - you're post above belittles those who have a problem with the way our QB is playing (even though our passing game IS ranked 30th in the league) and I think it's crap.

Well, I keep reading from Russ that McCown always chokes under pressure even though he's had last possession comebacks in two games I know of. And last week, the guy had a damned concussion and nobody cut him any slack. I thought that was sickening.

Actually, I just skim the McCown posts now. I figure Denny Green will work it out.

And cheese, my post wasn't aimed at you, so settle down.

That's problem Skkorp - EVERYONE - including Russ has given credit to McCown for finally making the big play - especially in that Miami game and hell - I think it was even Russ who brought up when he took that big hit to try and figure out when his play started to go down hill.

I don't really care if the post was meant for me or not - but by just skimming the McCown posts and then throwing out a blanket statement, I just thought you were doing a disservice to a lot of really good fans here - that's all.

Say what you want about our qb issue, but isn't it nice to see the passion run amuck as opposed to talking about how in the hell we can continue to lose by 30 points? :)
