Boo. I was hoping the Eagles would continue to implode.

They are. They just gave a bunch of money to an injury-prone RB, who will more than likely break down after having almost 500 touches last year, to play behind their crappy OL.

So I wonder where Ryan Mathews fits in now. Has he signed yet? They still have Darren Sproles, right? I've always liked Mathews.

If I am Ryan Matthews I walk and call Jerry and say "lets smash these fools, I'll play for cheap."

Mathews "agreed to terms" with Philadelphia which means the actual contract has not been signed yet. Would seem likely that he walks.

If Philly was going to give this much money to a RB why Murray and not McCoy? Oh right. It's because Chip Kelly is a "genius."

I suppose one could say because he got a starting middle linebacker in the deal as well??

What the hell is Philly doing!!?! They are losing trust points BIG TIME. Agree with an agent then back stab them by going for another prize. That's jacked up! I guess they are doing what Gore did to them....

...it's not good business sense.

...not sure why so many here bitter and talking junk on Murray....we would all have been excited if he signed here. Suck it up and we move on.

Apparently, the Eagles brought Murray in facility while Matthews was out getting a physical to finalize his contract.

That's messed up.

Well we don't know what Jerrah will do. But one thing is for sure...if he had taken the Beasley contract money and added it to his latest offer of slightly over 6 million per year, he would of easily kept DeMarco and had some left over.

Fun fact: the signing bonus for Demarco is over twice what the Cowboys paid him all four years combined.

But Jerrah might have some explaining to do, because in a sense, he chose Beasley over DeMarco.

That's a lot of money for a RB

I honestly think his best years are behind him. I think this is certain that the Cowboys take Melvin Gordon in round 1

HIGHLY Debatable! Although per sports line he got Murray And Alonso now for cheaper then the price tag on McCoy...

I would take that swap 10 times out of 10. People really undervalue Kiko Alonso. Dude rand the Bills defense as a rookie and is a heck of a sideline to sideline player. I've followed him a little closer than most because I had him on my roster in my IDP league.

Now that being said, he fell completely backwards into getting Murray. Murray had to initiate contact with them himself. I am not giving him credit for being smart on this by any means.

Former Chargers RB Ryan Mathews is STILL signing with the Eagles. He'll share the backfield with DeMarco Murray.
