Not getting much attention. Teams finally starting to bring him in for a workout.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the team also wanted to bring former Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet in for a look, but that he was already scheduled to work out for the Seahawks. The Seahawks learned later Tuesday that they’ll be down a receiver for at least a large portion of the 2013 season when they got word that Percy Harvin needed hip surgery.

Doucet, a third-round pick in Arizona in 2008, had his best season in 2011 with 54 catches for 689 yards and five touchdowns but slumped down to 28 catches for 207 yards last season as the Cardinals offense slumped as a whole.

He was released in March and hasn’t generated much, if any, action as a free agent up to this point.

Good for Early. I was a fan of his, but he must've put some BAD tape out there in 2012 to not get any looks so far.

I liked early the year before. Last year he was bad. But so was everyone.

Look who makes a big block in that picture... Not bad for a guy who can't block.

That's not a big block that's offensive pass interference. :D

It looks like Early has the ball... Anyway, it
Isn't cheating if the ref doesn't call it.

If I remember right, that play went for a long TD.

Are you watching a different video? Not only does Doucet drop the pass the ball isn't even in the picture when Housler hits the defender.

But you are right about pick plays. A common occurrence in the NFL.

Doucet cost this team a shot at the playoffs in 2011 because he couldn't keep his feet.

I don't think the Cardinals would have made the playoffs anyway that year, but it is still enough of a reason to pile on Early Dropsit.

Am I looking at it wrong? Doesn't it look like the hit on Early was illegal? Didn't he spear Early with his helmet?

Nah. He lead with his shoulder and really hit Early in the side. It was a good football play from my POV.

Gotta hold on to that ball no matter how late it was delivered.

Looking at the standings, yes, we wouldn't have made it. However, it did ruin a great comeback attempt. Down 23-0, he catches that ball and it's tied at worst. However, I'll give him this, he was a beast in our WC game against the Pack.

It's a one-year deal for WR Early Doucet and the #Seahawks. He'll try to regain his form from 2011, when he had 54 catches & 689 yards.

He is there to fill in for Harvin? BIG SHOES!!!

Stephen Williams and Early Doucet both on the Seahawks. Also Scho.

PC even praised Williams and that he made a good first impression.

...and of course the gratuitous Arizona Northwest designation.

Guessing no one is pulling the Pittsburgh west label on them and calling them Arizona North.

He can take it.

I mean, he filled in for Boldin flawlessly here.

Somebody show the Seattle fans that one Green Bay playoff game, that will get them excited.

At best he'll be battling for the 4th/5th receiver role ..... and that is with Harvin sidelined

I was never impressed with his kickoff return ability, but that is pretty much his main path onto the team

Two days ago, he signed with the Seahawks. Today, they terminated his contract.

Wha?
