Yeah yeah I know. A bleacher report opinion/article might as well be a post from these forums. I'm only pointing these out for you guys because of how far we still have to go in the eyes of the public. The first one is more favorable since he put us at number 4, but I think if you put the (3-1) Ravens who's only loss was to a team the Cards dominated the week after? It's just pure bias. I understand putting the 9ers in front of us but not the Ravens

The second ranking is even worse. He has two 2-2 teams in front, including the Patriots who we beat at their house.

This team thrives on being disrespected and bulletin board material.

If I were a Power Rankings guy, I'd list the team #25 along with some snide comment just to get under their skin.

Reference: 2008 playoffs against Carolina.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
They can eat my undefeated ******! We are top 3 in the NFL ask the 10 other teams for the last decade who couldn't knock off the pats at home opening game, ask about Phillys "Best" offense in the NFL and then don't even ask Dansby anything just kick him square in his nuts. Hmm I should be a writer lol

4 games doesn't prove anything if you ask me. We are playing good enough to win but we didn't look good against Miami.

We still can't run the ball and our pass protection is still scary.

If you want respect from the media we need to keep winning and do it convincingly when playing lesser teams.

Four games is a quarter of the season. There are only 12 games left. Go 6-6 in the last 12 and you are looking at a 10-6 season. That is usually playoff material. That is why getting off to a fast start is so important.

As much as I hate the sports media ignoring the Cardinals I think it is going to take us kicking the crap out of a good team.... Oh wait, we did!!!! (Eagles)

No argument from me. Being 4 and 0 is huge.

But people are crazy to think 4 wins is going to wash off the last 50 year's of stink.

We did have a nice run with Warner but that didn't last long. Nobody will believe in us until we win on a regular basis, and have a good QB. Which Kolb is starting to look like he can be that guy.

Beat St. Louis at home and go 5-0. If that isn't good enough to put us in top 3 or 4, nothing will. And at that point who care, opinion is just that.

Not sure whats wrong with the first ranking..

I would rank Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore and San Francisco ahead of the Cards too.

Agree.

Being in the top ten is a lot better than we were ranked 4 weeks ago.

Here's A Disrespect Card for Kolb

In ESPN's Total QBR (or as I call it, the BCS of QB rating):

24. Kevin Kolb, ARI 48.6

In the NFL Rating, which is based on formula and not human interpretation:

9. Kevin Kolb, ARI 97.6

So based on the math, he is the 9th best QB through 4 games, but when ESPN interjects its "expert" opinion, he's 24th?

I still go with the only QB rating that matters: 4.0

Shutdown Corner

3. Arizona Cardinals (4-0)
Last week: 1
I have to throw some respect Kevin Kolb's way. I wasn't tremendously nice to him last week, but he did hit the Dolphins with 324 yards and three touchdowns this week (two interceptions, too, but they only get a parenthetical because this is supposed to be something nice). Maybe more importantly, he captained a tremendous last-minute touchdown drive and forced overtime with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Andre Roberts that kept the dream of 16-0 alive. I almost typed that with a straight face.

TMQ: Another Shot at Us Fans

Sour Play of the Week: The Cardinals, trailing 13-7, had just allowed back-to-back sacks, and the home crowd was booing. Sure you're on a 10-2 streak including seven consecutive home wins, but what have you done for us lately? Arizona coaches kept an extra blocker back and sent Andre Roberts on an out-and-up. Dolphins corner Richard Marshall bit hard, while the safety on that side, Chris Clemons, jumped a short route -- leaving no one between Robert and the end zone. Sour for Miami, whose coaches began the season by trading away their best defensive back, Vontae Davis, in order to bank future draft choices.

Wow... what do you expect any fan to do after 2 sacks in a row? Cheer? Booing isn't a bad thing in some contexts. In this case, fans were booing because it looked like they gave up at that point, not that we didn't like them. Dumb east coast bias author
I expect them to be fans and not boo at that point.

I'll take the 4-0 start over any ratings. The game is always played on the field not in someone's mind.

I except the boos from here on out. Kolb seems to feed off of them. Boos have preceded his two biggest moments as a Cards, IMO. Keep 'em coming!
