That's a good draft. I'd rather have Michael Sam than Jeffcoat but that's a very solid draft.

Love it. Erving has some things to work on but he is the most athletic OT in this year's class. Having him alongside Cooper would be nice. Definitely could work great on pitches where they both pull out and block for Ellington.

Jeffcoat is a dynamic pass rusher that could really fit well in our defense.

Garoppolo is an intriguing pick. I'd like to see what Bruce could do with him as he sits behind Palmer for at least a year.

Problem #1 is that they have the Cards picking at the 26th slot. So are they clueless to the draft order????

Problem #2 is that I don't want a QB in the 4th rd. Either we go for the gusto or ride with Stanton and Lindley. Throwing away 4th rd picks on QB's is simply silly.

Yep

Jeffcoat loafs on running plays & takes to many plays off IMO. I think the bigger players in the NFL are going to give Jackson some problems.

I would be happy with either Missouri pass rusher in Ealy or Sam, though Ealy will probably go earlier. I think i prefer choose Van Noy over Sam.

If the Cards can land a LT in free agency, I would love this...

1-Benardrick McKinnley - OLB - Mississippi St.
2-Austin Seferian-Jenkins - TE - Washington
3-Deone Bucannon - S - Washington St.
4-Josh Huff - WR - Oregon
5-Brent Urban - DE - Virginia
6-Ryan Groy - OG - Wisconsin

That draft can't happen. You don't have the REQUIRED QB everyone demands the Cards to select :D.

I am 50/50 on drafting a QB this year, and if the right one falls, I expect Keim to pull the trigger. So if Bortles drops to 20, take him. That being said, I think these guys will be drafted early and often, taking us out of the running for one of the better ones. Also, rookies don't need to sit and learn anymore. Unless the perfect match falls to us I would rather build the best roster possible so we can plug one in when Palmer is done and he can succeed right away.

I agree. The only QB's I see the Cards possibly, but doubtful, of having a shot at in round 1 are Carr or Hundley. Other than that I wait and see if Mettenberger is around in round 2. If not, I'm not forcing a Taj Boyd onto the roster just to say we drafted a QB.

I still like Taylor Lewan LT Michigan. The guy has been a starter at LT since 3rd game his freshman season. He might have been a bit inconsistent this season but he should be a very solid LT for years.
Cameron Erving would be my 2nd choice at LT.
Greg Robinson Auburn is only a Redshirt Soph who only has 2 years experience at LT.
Cedric Ogbuehi Tx AM-only played RT.No experience at LT............scout say his main problem is handling speed rushers.
Cyrus Kouandjio LT Alabama-biggest problem is pass protection right now.

Lewan and Erving are both aggressive, have quick feet,Good AA,both have height and length per scouting reports.
CBS sportsline rates them
Jake Matthews 1
Kouandjio 2
Erving 3
Robinson 4
Ogbuehi 5
Lewan 6

All rated top 20 players.

There's no way I want the 6th rated OT at #20, the 5th either. The only positive I consistently read about Lewan is the he's a 4 year starter at Michigan. Big deal. Their offense has been pretty putrid all those years and they haven't run the ball well at all.

Denard Robinson was the QB most of the time so I'm sure Lewan didn't give up many sacks. But they could've probably went out there with no OL and Robinson would have been tough to sack.

Lewan is not terrible but he's a RT and not worthy of the 20th pick. I'm not a fan of Ogbuehi either but at least he has some athletic upside.

I'd be ecstatic with Kouandjio or Robinson and okay with Ervin. There is no shot at Matthews. After those 4, all OT's are not in consideration in round 1.

Once again blind homerism shows from CBus.Amazing that every draft site I have seen has Lewan in the 1st round .Lewan was a freshman 2nd team all-American,Soph 2nd team all-American,Junior 1st team all-American,Senior-2nd team all-American.Yeah Cbus he`s no good.

As I pointed out in another thread where you accused me of that, do your research, not blind homerism at all. In fact, I have watched Lewan with my eyes wide open for 3 years. Maybe you should do the same instead of just reading mock drafts and All American teams.

I said the same thing about projected first rounder Levi Brown about 8 years ago. I guess he was worthy because he was projected as 1st rounder and all. Lewan will go in round 1. I've never said any different. Gabe Carimi went in round 1 also. Would you want him at 20? Because that's what you're getting by taking Lewan.

Levi Clown, Robert Gallery & Jason Smith were also LTs who were projected 1st round picks & were high picks! How did those guys turn out? Just because sites & people who many times aren't football peeps say "thats a 1st rounder" doesn't mean he can play.

Everyone has an opinion...some peeps like vanilla, some like chocolate :D

To be honest I'm skeptical of Lewans ability to play LT too at the nfl level. I really have doubts about OTs who come from predominantly running college programs trying to be quality NFL players, especially in a passing league! Lewans Wolverine teams were running teams mostly before this year. What kind of offense did the above busts run in their college programs? Run run run pass!!! Just my 2 cents & opinion

If you look around at other scounting and draft sites, you will see more and more that have Lewan falling to the 2nd round.

Hell, LeCharles Bentley was killing him on twitter the other day because of his terrible fundamentals.

I haven`t see those sites yet.I have seen Lewan play several times. He is like every other college LT.......looks very good many plays and stinks every now and then. There is no sure thing in the draft at LT.Although I think Jake Matthews can play either side and do it well.Erving only has 2 yrs playing LT,Greg Robinson very raw,Kouandjio pass pro his weakness,Ogbuehi never played LT.So Lewan is still my pick.

I think I agree with this, as far as drafting a LT with the #1 pick. If he's any good, he's not falling to us. And if he falls to us, he's not any good. Then again, probably better than what we have. But then you're reaching for need, I don't know.

I tend to care what a former pro bowl offensive lineman has to say regarding the technique of linemen coming out of college. Bentley was a very good pro and played with great technique. I don't think the critique had anything to do with Lewan playing for Michigan...especially when he referenced screen shots to make his points.

CBS sportsline,Drafttek,Todd McShay,Mel Kiper,Sports Exchange,FF Toolbox,GreatblueNorth,Draftdaddy,Nfl Draft Blitz, and Ourlads all have Taylor Lewan as Round 1 pick. Some as high as top 10,many in 15-25 range.
Ourlads says he is a good LT but might be better at RT.Yahoo`s expert says he can play either spot.
