............JJ Watt is pretty good. Some make it sound that by getting beat for a sack, by JJW, Jonathan Cooper's career is in jeopardy. Coop now joins a LOT of OL who have also fallen victim to the PR talents of JJW. Let's see how JC plays in the next three PS games. Or next two if you don't want to count the final game. And I'm sure/guessing that BA will comment on JC's game, last night. The sky isn't falling, imo.

I'm not as concerned about the rag-doll sack as I am about all
The other plays where Cooper failed to look like a top-10-type prospect. Like the plays where he ended up on the ground, or turned around, or not blocking anybody at all.

Again, hopefully this much bad tape is a good learning experience for cooper, and he'll be able to build on it for next week. But coaches didn't keep running him out there because his play was impressing them.

But the coaches wouldn't have left him on the field if the believed that his performance in the beginning was a true indication of his level of play.

The coaches clearly want to give him reps and knock the rust off

Hopefully with the extra reps and a few more games to figure it out...Cooper can work out the kinks. There are a lot of fierce pass rushers out there that we will see and Carson's blindside (Jared and Coop namely) needs to really neutralize all threats so we can see that passing attack we saw in the opening drive against the Texans.

This whole OL scares the hell out of me when the real bullets start to fly and are aiming for Palmer. It is because it is basically a whole new OL and it could very well cost us a few early games as they gel together and finally work as a unit... but it is a necessary evil because we could not go on with what we had last season, the likes of Levi Brown still makes me cringe lol
