Is there a sports bar in the East Valley that caters to Cardinals fans?
Would like to hook up with fellow fans to watch the Cards.

Likewise!

I know that someone on here knows of a family-owned bar in the EV. I'd like to go if the Cards play on a Sunday night this year....

Clarify "East Valley". It's a long way from North Scottsdale to Gilbert.

I'm in the Queen Creek area. Nearest sports bar I've found (Sluggos)is nice, but full of Steelers, Chiefs, etc, etc. Hardly any Cardinals fans present.

Unfortunately, I can tell you where the Vikings, Eagles and Green Bay bars are in the East Valley. Sadly, I have yet to find a decent Cardinals bar. :(

Actually, Zipps in Scottsdale had the Cards on Monday night last week. Not sure how they are during Sunday though.

Anywhere 2 or more Cards fans go to watch a game is a Cards bar.. I dont care if it says (insert team name here) Sports Bar.. Its on AZ soil which by definition all other fans are obligated to turn on the Cards game, sit down, drink their beer and ****!.. :D

Unfortunately, I don't think there is such a thing as a "Cards bar" in the East Valley.

The problem is that for the better part of 15 years, all the Cards local games were blacked out locally, even on Sunday ticket. The die hards would just go to the game and suffer the heat. And when they had an away game, most people would just stay home and watch it for free on broadcast TV. I think the sports bars all cater to fans that moved here with other loyalties and don't have Sunday Ticket.

The best bar in EV I have been to for Cards away games was "Payton's Place" on 40th and Chandler. Haven't been there in a couple years. It was sold and it is not called that anymore. It is still open but I am not sure of it's new name. But there were a bunch of Cards fans that would go there for away games.

Cardinals Bar in East Valley

Valle Luna on Ray and Dobson... I think they are doing the same specials as the 83rd and Bell Rd. location.

They are also running a bus to all home games.

I Bartend at a bar called Shayna's on Scottsdale Rd. just south of Oak. It is right next to Babe's Cabaret. I only bartend on Sundays and during the season I will be there for all away games. It is not a sports bar, but it is going to be a Cards Bar on sundays. At least on away games. Obviously I take sundays off for home games. Pretty good prices and there will always be free food. Wether it be Pizza, Hot Dogs or Hamburgers. I do $2 shot specials, $2 domestic bottles, $3 well (including Vodka redbull) and $5 Jager Bombers. This will be the first Sunday for an away game so I cant really speak to how large the crowd will be, but it is always a fun crowd on sundays.

Went out to Sluggos in the South East valley and had a pretty good time. There were probably 8 or so of us Cardinals fans there. They had the Pittsburgh game with sound, and the Cardinals Game (although on the big screen) without sound until the last couple of minutes.
Props to those who were there - post up! Maybe we can meet again for next week's game (I don't have tickets). The more there, the better chance we'll get the game WITH sound!!!!

I've been to the Stadium Club in Chandler, Goldies in Scottsdale, McDuffies by ASU, and some wings place that our boy RATS likes way out east somewhere. But its always on Saturday to watch college football so I don't know what they're like on sundays.

I'll never forget how amazed I was, the first time I was in AZ for a Cardinal game, that the sports bars were opening at 9AM. We almost didn't make it from McDuffies to SDS that first time. Real good thing we were walking.
