Turning point: Alexander Suzdalev scored 3:59 into overtime to lift the league-leading South Carolina Stingrays past the Jacksonville Icemen 5-4 in Sunday's ECHL hockey at North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, S.C.
Three stars: 1. Suzdalev, South Carolina (two goals, one assist). 2. Romain Rodzinski, South Carolina (one goal, two assists). 3. Jordan Klimek, South Carolina (one goal).
Penalty box: The Icemen (39-19-6-1) got a chance to win the game when Noah Laaouan received a penalty shot 46 seconds into overtime, but Stingrays goaltender Garin Bjorklund denied the opportunity.
Around the rink: Down 4-2 midway through the second period, Jacksonville forced overtime with goals from Christopher Brown and Olivier Nadeau. … Chris Grando and Ty Cheveldayoff also scored for the Icemen, who came back three times to tie the score. … Jayden Lee also scored for South Carolina (46-14-3-2). … Justen Close made 26 saves for the Icemen.
