That's weird. I can't duplicate this. Am having no problems editing posts. And the code hasn't changed on this site, so I'm not sure. The only thing that changed was Mike uploaded one image, and that's it.

You might want to clear your cache and reboot and see if that helps.

If you use Internet explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete Files button and make sure to click on the delete offline content checkbox.

If you use Firefox, go to Tools -> Clear Private Data, and make sure the "cache" box is checked.

Then reboot and see if that helps.

Edit - test to see if edit still works for me. Yep.

Well, today it's doing it again...won't let me edit. I really think it's the little image of a scissor that's throwing my computer off...

Sorry you are having problems. I still can't duplicate this, and I have tried it from home and work and under IE and firefox.

What browser are you using, IE or firefox, and what version? (go to help->about to find this)

What ASFN style are you using? Very lower left dropdown box - Cardinals Reloaded, semi-micro ASFN, etc...

What kind of network connection do you have? Work ethernet, dial-up, cable, dsl, etc?

Do you have any personal firewalls like zone-alarm or norton running?

Is this happening just at work, just at home, or both?

I looked on the vbulletin support site and nobody is reporting this as a problem, so I'm not sure what is going on.

I haven't tried it at home, so I'm assuming it's something only at work (must be the firewall).

No biggie....just have to make sure that I mean what I say, and say what I mean the first time around!

Edit: Must be conspiracy!! Only once a day it allows me to edit a post

Dang, Ryan, you spilled the beans. Deanna is on to our "you can only edit a post once per day" usergroup. Thanks.

Just kidding - sorry, I still have no idea what is going on but that is weird that it works sometimes and sometimes not.

I'm not able to add attachements when I go in to edit a post. Weird. EDIT: I don't even get a "Go Advanced" button anymore. :(

Test post. Pariah, it is working fine for me. I'm not sure what is going on.

...and, now my "enter" key isn't registering line breaks in the post. It is as I'm typing, but I have to go back in and put in < BR > if I want to have a line break....watch all of these words are stacked on top of each other as I type them.

EDIT: I'd hit enter after all the words above so each one was on it's own line....it didn't work like that once I hit submit, though. I had to use 2 < BR> codes to get the "edit" underneath it.

Also, I don't have the option to "go advanced" in my edits anymore.....I'm using Firefox.

Pariah, I use firefox as well and have no problems. Do you have the latest version? I am on 1.5.0.7.

Can you try editing with Internet Explorer?

Seems I have the most recent FF. Version: 1.8.0.7: 2006090918
...but I'm still having the same problems. Weird.

I guess I'll just use IE for ASFN, but just for jw's own FYI, FF ain't working for me. Maybe it's a VB bug with FF's latest version? (seems I have a newer one than you).
