OK so my wife and I had the ultimate give and take night on Friday. We started off at Rays pizza for some pizza and wings. Next we went to see my former High School play where we saw Cactus destroy Greenway. Then we ended the night by going to see Elizabethtown.

This might sound a little chickish, but I really enjoyed that movie.

Orlando Bloom had a great character and the overall story was pretty cool. No oscars here but a fun chick flick that I also enjoyed.

We'll be seeing it this weekend too...

I would say my wife is dragging me there, but no one would believe me anyways :)

We'd believe you if you said you were dragging your wife to see it. :D

Well, Kirsten Dunst was annoying as usual, but she was cute and I enjoyed this movie.

Felt very much like Jerry Maguire at one part, but I think I just like the style of Crowe's movies.

The music was great, I thought the writing was original, and Bloom did a good job.

Rented this last night and both the wife and myself were like WTF

Could of been a 40 minute movie

the whole nike thing was annoying - dunst was annoying

it had it's "cute" moments and the ending was really enjoyable - but overall I really didn't like it

opened up a lot of holes - made the family rift seem more complex than it was - and really didn't know where to focus the story

I just watched this. I’ll chalk this one up to “it was probably a really good book.” Way too long for a cheesy movie. It was better the first time when it was call Garden State.

LOL!

I finally saw this movie tonight. I thought it was alright. It started off really slow. I actually Kirstin Dunst in this movie, which surprised me. I liked her interaction with Orlando, too.

Overall though, that was it. The music was good, but the movie just seemed to draaaaaaaaaag.

Saw it Sunday night. Dunst's charactre was irritating, and I don't think she's as hot as a lot of guys think. A few very funny scenes, but overall it was little long. Great premise, just a little long winded.

My wife and I caught this on Dish last night. While the critics killed this, we actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It had a number of laugh out loud moments, and the sequence at the wake, particularly the "Freebird" part had us on the floor laughing our arses off.

Oscar stuff? Nah. Predictable fluff? Yeppers. A bit slow in parts? SURE... but pretty funny, warm and fuzzy. This is worth a look. Relax and enjoy with your sig other on a quiet night.

Line of the movie: "I teach my kids about the things that really matter. I will teach them about Abraham Lincoln and Ronnie Van Zandt, because they are equally important in my house."

heh ... I just read this thread and I have no recollection of ever watching this movie - which given my prior post probably means it will haunt me at whatever point in your life the deeply repressed memories come out to play
